I went to the game with my 7 year old son. I knew that outside food would not be let in but I didn't think applied to children's SEALED snacks such as gummies and rice crackers. A couple of cuties and a banana. Items that are NOT sold at Spartan Stadium. Not only was I made to throw them out, in front of my child, but I had to actually dispose of them in a trash can. Perfectly good, sealed food. Could you 1. have some common sense and let in children's snacks and fresh food items, items that you do not to sell and some people may need due to dietary restrictions. 2. provide donation containers so that perfectly good food does not go to waste, and 3. if you are going to have this rule maybe it would be better to post it on large signs everywhere BEFORE you get to the gate and get surprised and upset.
I am also an alumni and expect a lot better service and response from Spartan Stadium than what I was subjected to this past weekend.
