    Great show - disorganized venue

    by spb on 7/7/23

Concert and fireworks were great. Buuuuut - they do this every year? There was no information on-line about bag restrictions. This set up a huge entry line because they only had 2 bag check stations that everyone had to go through. We waited in line for 45 minutes even though we had no bags!

    Great! As always!

    by SE on 7/7/23

I have attended this event for 15 or 20 years. I have never been disappointed. Family friendly, entertaining and thoughtfully produced. I hope to attend to the end of my days!

    Chaotic start

    by Chao on 7/7/23

We arrived at 7:45pm and didn’t get into the venue until 8:30pm and the show started promptly at 8pm! The lines getting into the venue were too long and moved too slow. There weren’t signs or people directing traffic. There should have been something on the website to indicate what the Fast Lane was. Luckily, we parked on the other side of 101 though we had to walk 30 minutes to and from the venue. Forget about riding a bike since there was nowhere to properly park it with no bike valet. Once inside, it was not too hard to find a spot on the lawn. You are mainly looking at the large screens anyway. The performance was good but the fireworks were even better as they lasted a good 20-30 minutes. All I all, it was an ok event.

    San francisco symphony at shoreline

    by Thomas Russell on 7/7/23

Garbage. It was a disaster leaving. It took me 2 hours to get out of the Google parking lot. None of the traffic personnel had a clue of what was going on. I will never come back and strongly recommend you don't.

    Unorganized

    by TrustThisReview on 7/7/23

The overall sound was poor with not enough isolation between the music and the vocals The event organization was terrible as well, with volunteers not knowing entry and exit points The saving grace was the last 15 min, when fireworks started

    Very poor organization

    by Nexxtime on 7/7/23

Massive traffic snarls and an hour delay to park. The longest line I have ever seen to get through bag check and screening (2 single file lines to fill an entire stadium!). The personnel who were doing the parking and crowd control were completely clueless. The concert was already on for 20 minutes and more than half the theater was still empty. It's really pathetic how bad the situation was. Arrived at 6:45 for an 8 pm concert and still missed the first 20 minutes. And it took 90 minutes to leave the parking lot after the concert. The concert music and fireworks themselves were great, but the sound system barely powerful enough to be a concert. Anemic sound. I've been to this event several times in the past, and it was never as badly organized as this one.

Awesome fireworks marred by miserable traffic control

    by MAS on 7/7/23

The singer was amazing. Fireworks were spectacular. Left our seats just before it ended. We were in the drive aisle closest to the exit and it took 1 hour to go 3 feet. It took 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach 101. I can't recommend going to this venue ever.

    Great

I enjoyed a lot this event. Great symphony. Very good organization, despite it was crowded, we were able to enter the facilities in a reasonable time, purchase food in a couple of minutes and find a nice spot

    Concert good, parking lot horrendous

by Peter on 7/8/22Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

The concert and the fireworks were quite good and enjoyable. We appreciated the mix of patriotic music with great American composers like Bernstein. But it took more than an hour and half to get out of the parking lot afterwards. It really put a damper on the entire evening, especially as my friend lives in the East Bay and had to work the next day. She did not get home until after 1 am. They had what looked like over a thousand cars merging into one lane. A major concert venue has to do better than this. I doubt we will be back to Shoreline anytime soon.

A joyful way to celebrate 4th of July

by Sally on 7/8/22Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

Finally got to attend this performance on 7/4 night. Everything went really well, from ticketing, to supporting services, to reminder, to parking. We arrived about an hour before starting, and the crowd was light. Venue was well organized and maintained very clean. Staff were nice and welcoming. We settled in our seats easily, and enjoyed the performance and firework! The worst part of the experience happened after the show finished. We parked by a sign, so it was not difficult to find our car in the huge parking lot. But there was almost no one directing traffic to leave the parking lot. Try to imagine when almost the entire audience needed to leave at the same time, it was nearly impossible to move - our car, among 30 some other cars, practically could not move an inch for 30 minutes. That was a horrible experience. I hope the organizer can reconsider the traffic flow based on the design of the venue. Also consider after-show entertainment to attract some audience to stay behind, rather than having everyone leaving the venue at the same time.

Mostly great with room for improvement

by rrider on 7/8/22Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

The great part--gates opened early (2 hrs prior to show), the SF Symphony sounded wonderful, and the fireworks were unbeatable as always. Things that could be better--the policy of allowing people to bring only a sealed disposable bottle of water or an empty reusable water bottle is really annoying since you have to choose between adding to plastic pollution or struggle to fill your own water bottle (it would help if the only filling station that I found actually worked!), and the lawn is very lumpy and has ankle-breaking holes. The biggest problem was the same as always at Shoreline--leaving the parking lots after the concert is a nightmare. There's NO traffic control within the parking lots, so it turns into a free-for-all so we waited for about an hour in our car and just watched the chaos before even turning on our engine.

Wine prices are outrageous at Shoreline

    by C. G. on 7/8/22Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

Wine at Shoreline is horribly expensive and overpriced. The sales clerk had no idea how to uncork the bottles when we purchased them. The symphony and fireworks were spectacular. We go every year, and we truly love it!

    AWESOME 4TH OF JULY EXPERIENCE

by BELLA RAZON on 7/7/22Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

WOW, this was amazing. My family of 8 thoroughly enjoyed the orchestra a top notch performance. We decided on lawn tickets because we have a range of older and younger children. It was great. We rented 4 chairs and for the rest threw down a blanket. We were able to bring in food and snacks which we thought would save on buying expensive snacks. But of course your kids will want the cotton candy, churros and other $10.00 goodies. LOL. Overall my children said they would like to come every year. So, we will see. We flew in from out of state, had to rent a car and hotel. But it was worth it, our kids enjoyed great music and the best fireworks we have ever seen in our lifetime. Way to go. We got the premium parking, definitely a must to enter and exit. Thank you , San Francisco Symphony and the Shoreline Amphitheatre and those who were responsible for the firework presentation. A 5 star experience.

    1 hour parking lot egress!

by 1 hour parking lot egress! on 7/7/22Shoreline Amphitheatre - Mountain View

Show was fine. As expected, food and drinks are psycho priced $$$$. General parking lot E egress - 1 full hour to move about 10 car lengths forward. Got in parking lot traffic at 1030pm, got out of the lot at 1130pm. And we were parked pretty close to the exit to begin with. Ended the night with frustration.
