    Great game. Bad presentation

by BrittE on 7/5/22Freeman Coliseum - San Antonio

My fiance and I really like football and were excited to see action in a new arena rules league. The game itself it fun to watch but the venue turns the music between plays up way way too much and sometimes played it while the game was going on. Also, the PA announcer is extremely 'over enthusiastic' with trying to get the crowd into the game. Frankly, this is Texas..and Im not even from this state and I know that fans know more about when to cheer and clap more than any other football fans I have ever met. The PA announcer doesn't need to come on after every play and scream like my fiance described as "the ghost of Sam Kennison" That aside, I was very impressed withe the preservation of the Freeman Auditorium. It was a pleasant walk through a different time when places weren't technological monster stadiums that are built today

Game was great, but announcers were annoying

by RC on 7/5/22Freeman Coliseum - San Antonio

The football game was very entertaining but the announcers were terrible. The male announcer kept yelling the same thing over and over again. Sometimes he was walking around yelling the same phrase continually and it got very annoying. He was walking around not even paying attention to the game and yelling. Then there was a female announcer that would yell into the microphone. Your voice is already being amplified why do you have to yell? There was a time when a Neil Diamond song came on and she decided to sing along as it was karaoke night. Singing along was not the problem, the problem was she was terribly off key and it sounded terrible. The announcers interaction was to frequent and distracted from the game. We were excited to attend our first game since the last time San Antonio had an arena football game, but we will not return due to these announcers.

    Small, but exciting environment

    by L. G. on 6/26/22

I went to the game on the 25th against the Carolina Cobras and the game ended with the Gunslingers winning in OT with the final score of 60-61. The atmosphere was exciting and the play was much better than I expected! I'm definitely gonna be a returning customer and consider the Gunslingers now a home team to root for!

    Great Experience!

by tshea510 on 6/22/22Freeman Coliseum - San Antonio

No one knelt during our National Anthem, a prayer was said by a local minister and the game was exciting! Intimate setting very impressed with this organization.
