San Antonio is a great sports fan base and we finally have a pro football team we deserve. The Commanders are here to stay and can’t wait for our next game!
Alamodome didn't either have enough booths open or enough drink only lines, not even enough walking vendors. We walked in and wanted to eat; however lines were really long and SLOW. We waited until there were about 2 minutes left in the first qtr to get 2 beers and didn't get back to our seats until the 2nd period was almost over. Decided to leave early in the 3rd period to go get food somewhere else. Game was fun and we were excited to go, but service needs to change or we're not likely to return. In fact, several folks were walking out with us talking about the long lines.
The inaugural Commanders’ game was awesome! I could feel the excitement in the air! It was a great, entertaining game! Great job by the sponsors and it was nice to even see the mayor and David Robinson attend the game. The logistics, however, needed some help. The Alamodome staff was not prepared for the amount of people who showed up. They ran out of merchandise, beer, souvenir cups, condiments, paper towels in the men’s restroom, and even Dr. Pepper. The lines to enter the building, buy food, use the restroom, and buy merchandise were longer than an average wait at another sports venue. I do hope they will apply lessons learned for the next home games. I’ll soon find out because I’ve already bought my tickets.
The game was incredible, and I'm not a huge American Football fan. The ONLY issue with the experience is the concession stands were extremely slow, my son ended up with a cold pretzel that took 25 minutes in line to get.
Well organized, well played, FUN night of really good football. Plan to attend another game.
Outstanding game for a new league. Player safety observed. Good coverage. Exciting moments and some not. Overall it was an excellent start. Especially since we won. Would make it better if there was a cannon to fire instead of 5 re-enactors. When they shot off their rifles, you could barely hear much less notice them.
All involved with the AAF did a great job of generating support, and San Antonio stepped up to create a great hometown atmosphere for the team. Wonderful job!!!
Great first game experience, except first time my wife and I have been to any game without getting a drink or snack to enjoy while watching the game; concession lines were brutal! The only thing holding back my rating is bc kept hearing the person behind the concession explaining that there weren’t enough workers called in bc they didn’t expect this many people. Going to be a long season if they keep that mentality. Other than that, Go Commanders!
The game and atmosphere were very good. The parking and concessions prices were ridiculously high.
Sat in line for over an hour trying to get into the parking lot. Missed most of the first quarter. Our seats were taken when we got there. Very disorganized. Don’t think I’ll go again.
This was yhe inaugural game for the AAF. It was a rowdy crowd in the Alamo dome. a GREAT time was had!!
