About

In the 1970s, Sammy Hagar made his first appearance in the American rock and roll scene with the band Montrose. Since then, he has launched a hugely successful solo career, which led to his most prominent role as the lead singer of the group Van Halen. This role eventually led him to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In 2008, Hagar formed a group called Chickenfoot, which began its tour after their album rose to #4 on the Billboard Top 100. Hagar’s Chickenfoot concerts have a high-energy party atmosphere, where audience members sing and dance along with songs from Hagar’s considerable repertoire. During his concert, Hagar mixes in old classics with new releases, giving audience members no shortage of nostalgia before launching into new jams, followed by a few more classics and so on. Many of his new songs are featured on "Chickenfoot," the premier album for the group, released in June 2009. In November 2012, Chickenfoot released a live album in a limited edition box-set that featured songs from Hagar, as well as other members of the band.

Hagar’s success began in the mid 1970s with his solo career, which spawned some of his most well-known singles, like "Red" and "I Can’t Drive 55." His solo career would lead to him become the replacement lead vocalist in the band Van Halen after David Lee Roth parted ways with with them in 1985. Hagar stayed in this role for the next 10 years and released singles, like "Runaround" and "Poundcake." Hagar is known throughout the past three decades as a Rock and Roll icon, giving ticket buyers a blast from the past, as well as a look into the present during his concerts.

    Great Concert

by Ms Penguin on 3/6/23The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

I've been a fan of Sammy Hagar since he was a member of Van Halen and was so excited to finally see him live. Sammy did not disappoint. The concert was great and the venue was amazing. My only complaint is that I wish I would have known about the concert sooner so I could have gotten better tickets. We were in the balcony and I was a bit jealous of the people on the floor dancing ;-)

    Sammy was great as usual

by Julia on 3/6/23The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

The Venue bar area by us was not good. There were 7 tenders and it took too long in line. They should have a separate station for people that want beer, wine or water.

by Old rocker on 3/6/23The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

Sammy was at Thunder valley last October for the last out door concert and was awesome. But this concert was in the new The Venue and he was off the charts. There was a much different vibe and energy. Sammy is the king of the rockers

    A Night Out w Sammy

by Red Rocker Fan on 3/6/23The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

Gotta say, every time I see Sammy he puts on an AWESOME show. Music pumps and his on stage theatrics are great! However, his opening act of his son Andrew Hagar & The Midnight Suns has got to end. The last two times I've gone to see Sammy, Andrew was the opening act and he is really, really bad. He's 39 years old and is a wanna be Sammy. He looks like him and acts like him on stage but just one thing, he can't sing like him. He's definitely riding on the coat tails of his father. So unless he starts and sells a tequila or rum company to make some money, he better not rely on his musical ability or daddies inheritance. SAMMY, keep rockin' man. You are the BEST !!!!!!!!!

    Fantastic Show

by Tonga on 3/6/23The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

I've seen Sammy a 100 times. Even though he's 75 years old, he still brings the energy. Setlist was great, energy was great, sound was fantastic. The new venue at Thunder Valley Casino was really nice. Bathrooms really clean, access to bars and merch was easy. Only thing we had a problem with was security. This guy sitting to the left of us would NOT stay in his seat and kept trying to get in front of me. The security guy would never leave his chair. It ended up benefitting me though because I ended up in the front on the rail. Overall great experience. Oh and ticket prices were reasonable.

    The Circle/Sammy Hagar

    by Dalzy on 9/8/22

Phoenix, GREAT SHOW! Sammy is still rocking at 74 years young! Michael Anthony and Vic Johnson were ABSOLUTELY amazing. Vic doesn’t get enough credit! Jason’s dad would be proud! Was surprised at the average age of the concert attendees! Love to see people over 70 still rocking! Played a lot of VH! Hats off to Michael Anthony, pulling the weight of the band. Worth every penny! But $50 for a cocktail! Not Sammy’s issue but wow, they get ya on everything. Go see The Circle and Sammy, they won’t be around in five years! RIP:EVH! Great “Somebody Get Me A Doctor by Michael! A GREAT TIME!

    Time should be clearer

by Westage on 12/7/21Aztec Theatre - San Antonio

The ticket said 8pm. Usually that is the time the doors open unless that is stated elsewhere. Waited in line over 40 minutes and missed about 20-30 minutes of the show. Would have been there earlier if this had been clearer.

    Great concert

by Jackie on 12/7/21Aztec Theatre - San Antonio

We were in standing room section and it wasn't too crowded. The sound was good, except I think a speaker blew at one point. Sammy had lots of energy and the other musicians were great. You can tell they all like what they do. It was funny as Sammy kept trying on all these clothes or hats that fans threw at them, and he managed to keep singing as well. He's quite the entertainer!
