Morril is one of the fastest-rising stand-up comics in New York City and one of the best joke writers in the scene today. He is a regular on Comedy Central's This Week at the Comedy Cellar, where he appears frequently when not touring cities across the nation. He was named one of Comedy Central's Comics to Watch in 2011 and has performed multiple stand-up sets on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Late, Late Show with James Corden and Conan. He's also had stints on Last Comic Standing, America's Got Talent, @midnight with Chris Hardwick, and Inside Amy Schumer.
Most recently, Sam self-released his stand-up special, Up On The Roof, in which he navigates performing live during COVID. In February 2020, Morril released his 3rd stand-up special for Comedy Central, I Got This on their YouTube channel and received over 1.5 million views within the first two weeks. Morril then later released it as a comedy album with 800 Pound Gorilla Records.
In 2015, the comedian recorded his debut album, Class Act, with Comedy Central Records, which went to #1 on iTunes and made numerous top 10 lists and appeared on season four of Comedy Central's The Half Hour. His first one hour special, Amy Schumer Presents Sam Morril: Positive Influence premiered on Comedy Central in 2018.
Morril was the host of his very own show on MSG called People Talking Sports, which ran for two seasons and received an Emmy® nomination. Morril also has a cameo in the Academy Award nominated film, Joker.

The show was amazing. It was completely sold out and it was definitely worth watching in person.
Gary and Sam were exactly what we wanted. Loved the crowd work. I missed a Richmond show last year for Sam due to illness so I was really looking forward to this. He did not disappoint. I know he's not used to hearing that often from women ;)
This was my first comedy show ever and I loved everything about it. The venue was great and Sam was hilarious!
So glad he was the same guy with the same humor I've been seeing on his specials and YouTube. He freaking nails his witty, dark, dry humor. 😂
Performance by Sam and Gary was awesome. Would have preferred it remained at Florida Theater. PV Concert Hall seat set up was WAY too tight… and don’t think they used the AC, but glad Sam delivered a great show.
Love the comedian. He was great. Hated the “comedy” venue. This was at the Fontainebleau hotel in Miami Beach in a carpeted ballroom. Bad for sound, comedians couldn’t really hear laughs due to the poor acoustics of a carpeted ballroom and so couldn’t tell what was landing or bombing. This was the worst place to see comedy, I’ll never go back there. Show started 30 minutes late, they could have at least sent the opener on earlier it was just amateur and unprofessional. Most of the audience seemed to be from out of town and not local. So maybe that’s why it was here, would have much rather seen this at at actual venue like The Moss Center. It was a Live Nation comedy event in a ballroom. Just weird.
It’s like they only had one speaker for the whole entire auditorium. Sound quality was awful. Terrible venue.
I can’t review the comedians because I couldn’t understand 95% of their act. The venue at the Fontainebleau is not a theater, it’s a ballroom set up as a theater and the acoustics are horrible. Two undersized speakers on tripods on either side of a “stage” projected muddled sound making it nearly impossible to hear the jokes. The majority of the seats are on the same level and the stage is low so you’re guaranteed to be looking at the back of someone’s head. The “balcony” is 18 inches above the main floor but all those chairs are on the same level too. One of the comedians even commented on the amateur-like set up which was one of the few things I heard. Don’t waste your time and money attending an event at the Fontainebleau.
It was great to finally get to see Sam Morril live after following his rising star for a while now. Of course, he killed, and absolutely showcased why he’s known as one of the hardest working comedians today. He takes you on a tour of his twisted brain during his shows, and it’s a hilarious place to hang out.
well I had quite the day when I went to see sam, i was a few too many drinks deep and cant say I remember much more than puking in the wilbur bathrooms! Not even sure how I got home, but my friend I brought said you were great
Very funny show, nonstop from the minute he walked on stage, crowd, work was classy not raunchy. Very funny quick comebacks. Definitely see him again. Next trip. Gary Vider was excellent opener
Highly recommend seeing Sam Morril, he's got a great set and punchlines. His sharp wit shines throughout his performance and he interacts with the crowd well. Would see again
Already one of the greats! Our modern day Dangerfield, class act indeed. Saw the late show at the Wilbur in Boston. Set was flawless. Sam had hilarious banter with a classic Bostonian. The two made quick chemistry, the interaction was the cherry in the Manhattan of the show. My husband and I took the train down from our home state of Maine, the show made the trip well worthwhile! We were able to buy a signed tour poster, the woman selling the merch said he had just signed them an hour prior. Shows his appreciation of his fans to take time to do that, despite it being his down time before performing his 3rd show of the night. If you have a chance to see this legend don’t hesitate, you’ll be glad you did! Make sure you drink some Bodega Cat and tune into “We might be drunk” in the meantime. ;)
From the opening act to the final joke, I was nearly in tears from laughing so hard. He does great crowd work and knows how to read the room. He definitely has some dark humor (which I enjoyed, but good to be aware of). Highly recommended seeing him!
Both the opener and main act was hilarious! My girlfriend and I didn’t stop laughing the whole time we were there! Would definitely do another date night there!
Gary veeter was a great opener. Great venue. Great set. Great time. I really have no complaints. Will see Sam again if I have the chance!
I saw Sam Morril on NYE in Spokane and still wanted to see him again. 100% worth it. Sam is a legend and I can’t wait for my next opportunity to see him
The show was great. Opener Gary was hilarious and did a great set that got a lot of laughs out of us. Sam killed it, gave a long show, and handled the crowd really well.
Sam was hilarious and his opener Gary Vider was incredible too. Payed for parking and ended up in the wrong garage and had to pay again. Still not sure what lot was supposed to be used. No big deal.
