Morril is one of the fastest-rising stand-up comics in New York City and one of the best joke writers in the scene today. He is a regular on Comedy Central's This Week at the Comedy Cellar, where he appears frequently when not touring cities across the nation. He was named one of Comedy Central's Comics to Watch in 2011 and has performed multiple stand-up sets on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Late, Late Show with James Corden and Conan. He's also had stints on Last Comic Standing, America's Got Talent, @midnight with Chris Hardwick, and Inside Amy Schumer.
Most recently, Sam self-released his stand-up special, Up On The Roof, in which he navigates performing live during COVID. In February 2020, Morril released his 3rd stand-up special for Comedy Central, I Got This on their YouTube channel and received over 1.5 million views within the first two weeks. Morril then later released it as a comedy album with 800 Pound Gorilla Records.
In 2015, the comedian recorded his debut album, Class Act, with Comedy Central Records, which went to #1 on iTunes and made numerous top 10 lists and appeared on season four of Comedy Central's The Half Hour. His first one hour special, Amy Schumer Presents Sam Morril: Positive Influence premiered on Comedy Central in 2018.
Morril was the host of his very own show on MSG called People Talking Sports, which ran for two seasons and received an Emmy® nomination. Morril also has a cameo in the Academy Award nominated film, Joker.
We loved Sam Morrill and our whole gang had a great time. That is except for the first opening act. A rap performer that didn't quite work with the lineup. Loved his backup band though. Strange mix. I now know why everyone comes late to shows.
When we arrived the lights were completely off making it extremely difficult to find out seats. The theatre was huge, every seat had a decent view of the stage but seemed like Sam was miles away. There were two huge screens one one each side of the stage that were OFF. Had they been on, we could have actually seen Sams face and his reactions to his jokes.
Sam was great. Raunchy as expected but also smart, politically astute, and just damn funny. Loved his self-depreciating humor. The bad dates were great but so were his asides at his Jewishness. Laughed our heads off. Bottomline. Thanks,Sam!

After living for 34 years in this country, sometimes I don't get the jokes from comedians. Sam performance was amazing, his voice powerful, clear and his jokes very funny. I was very impress how he interact with the public. He never stop been funny. Celebrating my 34th anniversary with my husband, laughing for more than an hour, could not asked for a better night out. Thank you Sam.

Have been watching Sam on various platforms for some time. Really happy to experience a live performance that mirrors what I have seen to date. Very funny and clever. The laugh I really needed. And, yea, I laughed/snorted several times. Moments of subtle humour and perfect timing are his best shots!

like the title, sam morril was fantastic. really enjoyed his performance. unfortunately, the aztec was way too warm to tolerate. was the air conditioning not on? holy heck. we were all sweating in our butts off in there.
What I could hear of Sam's act was very funny. Unfortunately, the hecklers behind us kept yelling things that made no sense and whistling as loud as possible. Several people complained, but the venue did nothing.
Constant laughs and quick punch lines that hit hard. Five stars, I don’t think I’ve laughed at a stand up show this much in longer than I can remember. Plus he said the Spurs are a good basketball team, who can hate a guy like that???
Got tickets on a whim and we really enjoyed the show. He was really funny and kept interacting with the crowd. I definitely would see him again.
Excellent comedy show. Relevant material. Used controversial subject matters but in a way that was palatable to many.
