The stadium was nice. The game was great. The fan engagement in-between play was fun. The fireworks after the game were AWESOME! My only disappointment was learning that my efforts to prepare for my group ahead of time, through taking advantage of prepay parking reservations, didn’t pan out. I gave my “volunteer drivers” their parking passes, to smooth out the process of trying to find parking for the game, but when they went to park their vehicles, the lot was marked full, looked full, and there wasn’t an attendant present to process their mobile parking passes. An attendant might have been able to tell my drivers to “ignore the lot full sign…we have a reserved space in the lot for you”…but no attendant was there for directions…so my drivers confused adapted and looked for parking elsewhere. I feel like I was taken advantage of and my money taken for no service in return. I can’t complain completely though, because, when I went to park I mistakenly entered the lot at the wrong gate. I discovered this after my parking pass was scanned…in the parking chaos the attendant kindly notified me of my error in gate entry, but told me to go ahead and stay in the gate area I was at, even though it turned out to be VIP designated parking area. It sure was nice and convenient for the part of the group that rode in my car…and for me as I don’t walk as well these days. When considering my VIP experience, I feel like maybe it was a fair unplanned trade…four regular parking spots for one VIP parking spot…but still unsettling when considering the fact my other drivers didn’t have their parking passes honored. It’s probably wiser to pay for parking when you get to the game than to prepay.
