About

RUSH took rock music into uncharted territory and to unmatched heights fueled by the once-in-a-lifetime interplay of Geddy Lee (bass, keys, vocals), Alex Lifeson (guitar, vocals), and the late Neil Peart (drums, lyrics). Selling over 45 million albums worldwide, garnering seven Grammy Award nominations, tallying billions of streams, and earning induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame, the pioneering trio’s incalculable influence has spanned generations, attracting one of the most ardent audiences in history. These musicians effectively reimagined and redefined rock without boundaries, striking a balance between elite instrumentation, anthemic vocals, provocative lyricism, and timeless storytelling both sonically and thematically. RUSH notably achieved “the third most consecutive gold/platinum studio albums by a rock band behind only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones.” Furthermore, their accolades have included becoming Officers of the Order of Canada in 1996, achieving the Canadian Governor General’s Performing Arts Award in 2012, and receiving recognition with both a star on the Canada Walk of Fame and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The world tragically said goodbye to Peart on January 7, 2020 following his battle with brain cancer. Honoring Peart and the legacy the band had forged together, Lee and Lifeson celebrate RUSH on tour in 2026. It’s a moment for new listeners to finally experience this music live in all of its glory and another chance for the group’s faithful fanbase to rally again.

  • Rush - 40th Anniversary

by Hawklord on 7/26/15SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 3 out of 5

As much as I love Rush and seen them many time over the years , this was a really bad performance compared to all the other times for the main reason that the sound was really bad. I wanted to really strangled the sound mixer. Come on $150 for ticket and the sound was all muddled. I brought my nephew and daughter and they keeped asking what's Geddy singing and the sound was awful, too much bass and drums which drowned out the vocals.. Last time I saw them at Shoreline, it was amazing sound was crystal clear. Not sure why a top not band like this cant get decent high end sound equipment or a great mixer for the price we paid... Yes I will see them again but please fix the sound,, I was very disappointed ....

  • Amazing Show

by TheBeauMan on 7/26/15SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

Simply amazing. The fact that these guys can put on such a great show and play like this in their 60s is unbelievable.

  • They always amaze

by nickV1 on 7/26/15SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

If this is their last tour then they gave it all they had. Incredible show musically and visually.

  • Rush are by far the greatest band ever!

by tzoneman on 7/26/15SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

Been going to Rush tours for 35 years now, and this current tour is by far one of the very best. The fact that the second half of the show was entirely made up of older tunes (the purest form of Rush) made this older longtime Rush fan extremely happy. Our boys always put on the very best for every show, and the San Jose show was a great example of that. I simply could not believe how incredibly rich this tour is - going to the two L.A. shows including the last show of this presumed final major tour. AWESOME SET LIST! And the boys were, as always, at the top of their game. Simply put, Rush is the greatest band, and this is one Rush fan that soooo appreciates their ending their 41 years of touring with a show that I have always been hoping for!

  • Rush R40 SJ

by AES69 on 7/26/15SAP Center at San Jose - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

How these guys rock like they do is just insane for guys in their 60's. They are truly masters of their respective instrument. The show was awesome, however selfishly I would have liked a few more "mainstream" hits to be played like Limelight, Red Barchetta and Red Sector A. My money says this is not the very last show/tour.

  • Rush are brilliant as always

by Rushhawk on 7/25/15Moda Center - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

This time around, the lighting was even more spectacular than ever (thank you, Mr. Ungerleider) due to the multitudinous rainbow and laser effects. The music selection was great, given the near-impossible task of determining which songs to include on any given tour. I can think of a few that I would have liked to have heard, but what Rush fan ever hears everything they want at a single concert? If you still have time, go see R40. You won't regret it; you'll never forget it.

  • Awesome !!!

    by Ladydi2112 on 7/25/15Moda Center - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

By far the best Rush concert I've been too !!! Thanks guys !!!

  • Awesome!

by Chawks on 7/25/15Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I first saw the boys 30 years ago on the Grace Under Pressure tour and this was the best show of many over the years. They are having a great time performing and finally played some tunes us old fans have been waiting to hear!

  • Going out with a bang.

by Eatinbritches on 7/25/15Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

If this was Rush's last major tour of their career, it was a hell of a good one. They nailed pretty much everything, really, from the exceptional set list to the quietly devolving stage decor, to the light show and pyrotechnics, and the hilarious intro and outro videos. But... the main draw is the band themselves. Lerxst, Dirk and Pratt were very much on point all night. Only a couple minor hiccups which were ruthlessly corrected and forgotten about. Despite decades of excessive strain, Geddy still carries a hell of a voice, and was actually much nicer than I was expecting. Alex was typically his horrendously underrated self. And Neil. Holy shoebox, no wonder they call him the professor. Both solos were outstanding, and every song he played was flawless. And the chemistry the three of them carry, the casual way they set up their backing tracks, the little details of playing multiple instruments at once with relative ease. If the boys are suffering from gettin' old, we sure as hell couldn't tell. Anyone who even remotely likes Rush owes it to themselves to see them live while they still can.

  • RUSH....fantastic!!!

    by Wendycs76 on 7/24/15Moda Center - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

By far one of the best concerts I've ever been to! RUSH rocked the stage with all their hits past and present. So glad I got to experience this!

  • RUSH , 40 yrs and still ROCKIN

  • Another Epic Nite

    by Ulaf2 on 7/24/15Moda Center - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Rush never fails to bring it and tonight they brought their best. I really loved the stage set and watching it go backwards to the beginning with just the guys and their instruments. I never miss Rush when they come to town. Looking forward to celebrating their next milestone.

  • Awesome show

by Webowls on 7/24/15Moda Center - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Rush put on a great show play a lot of favorites and some lesser known good songs. They still sound amazing after 40 years. Hope this isn't their last go around.

  • Rush is always awesome

    by The1Paladin on 7/24/15Moda Center - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

A great band doing a great show, always with the amazing simple showmanship that makes them one of the best live acts around. A great mix of all of their work going back 40 years.

  • Excellent show rating from a long time fan.

by TheOtherJamBandMan on 7/24/15SAP Center - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

I was hesitant to go to this show, as I've somewhat fallen out of love with Rush (I don't like the new stuff), and videos from this tour looked a little boring. But the show turned out to be awesome. I won't spoil the surprise with exact setlists, but they seemed to play in reverse chronological order, playing mostly newer material during the first set, classics during the second set, and songs from the very beginning during the encore. By "classics" I'm referring to material from 2112 to Moving Pictures, which is IMHO the best Rush era, and that second set was just sublime, perfect in almost every way. My first concert was the Permanent Waves tour in 1980, so I'm a long time fan, but just don't like much after Moving Pictures. Light show was good, plenty to look at, with lasers, fireworks, etc. that my son loved. They didn't have too much that was cheesy, like the giant inflatables used during the Presto tour. Sound at SAP Center was crap, and we were sitting 20 feet behind the soundboard!!! I'm sure it was horrendous elsewhere. The sound is ALWAYS crap at SAP Center, and I don't know why any band in their right mind would play there. I had the best seats you can get for Roger Waters The Wall, and that was crap too. If you can't get good sound from Roger Waters or Rush in that venue, then you're not going to get it from frigging Coldplay for craps sake. Just sayin'.

  • Rush at their best

    by Chicken33 on 7/24/15Moda Center - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

Just excellent! They are always good, but this was a true lesson in genius!

  • Rush Farewell Tour

    by KTMMan1 on 7/22/15KeyArena - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Simply put, it doesn't get any better than this! Best show in the 23 times I have seen this band over the last 32 years!

  • by Anonymous on 7/22/15KeyArena - SeattleRating: 4 out of 5

Not as good as the 30th anniversary show but still very entertaining.

  • Fantastic

by dkoppy on 7/22/15KeyArena - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Great concert played a long set but we still wanted more, sounds as good as ever, I would see them again and whenever they are here. Only downside they didn't play my favorite song Freewill. But with 40 years of music they can't play it all.

  • Rush was epic!

by Rebrenda on 7/22/15KeyArena - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

I go to lots of concerts and the one thing I appreciate is a full show, all the time dedicated to the headliner and starting on time! Rush was every bit of this. Started on time, no opener, and rocked the house for 3 solid hours with 1 intermission break. SO glad I went and Rush is better than ever!
