RuPaul's Drag Race on Tour

Even beamed into people's living rooms through their TVs, RuPaul's Drag Race is one of the biggest and most fabulous shows on Earth — it was only a matter of time before its cavalcade of queens ended up in Las Vegas. Specifically, they took up residence at the Flamingo, in a room that for more than a decade hosted the Donny & Marie variety show. A far more colorful and extremely ambitious production, RuPaul's Drag Race LIVE! involves big dance numbers, wild wardrobe changes, all-star catwalk crawls, vicious lip-sync battles and, well, a "bitch-slap" competition that calls for audience involvement. The mission is to make fans feel like they're in the middle of an interactive episode taping — a rotating cast of beloved queens previously seen on the show partakes in a series of challenges, performances and face-offs. The crowd determines a winner via the Clap-O-Meter, an outsize applause measurement device made to look like big lips and a giant tongue. The choreography comes from longtime Ru pal Jamal Sims (Step Up, the Oscars, live-action Aladdin) and is set to tunes previously heard on the series (think Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Britney Spears) as well as new original music from RuPaul, producer Leland and Tom Campbell. Meanwhile, the vibrant and often delightfully absurd sets transport viewers to a veritable wonderland of neon sass.

RuPaul's Drag Race in Concert

RuPaul's Drag Race debuted on Logo TV in 2009 and became an instant hit. It didn't hurt that the show's host, mentor and head judge was already the most famous and beloved drag queen the world had ever known, but the series quickly demonstrated its power to captivate audiences of all backgrounds and launch incredibly colorful new stars. By the time it kicked off its 12th season in 2020, the reality competition series had been nominated for 23 Emmys and won nine, not to mention increased awareness and (rabid) appreciation of drag culture, as well as gifted unto the world such truly inspired queens as Trixie Mattel, Bianca Del Rio and Alaska Thunderf*ck 5000. In 2017, RuPaul's Drag Race leapt to VH1 and also off of the screen via the Werq the World tour. That larger-than-life spectacle proved to be a hit, running for years and also paving the way for RuPaul's Drag Race LIVE! in Las Vegas, starring show alumni Yvie Oddly, Aquaria, Asia O'Hara, Derrick Barry, the Pit Crew and many more.

This was my first rupaul BOTS, and I completely loved it! Snatch game was hilarious, and the performances were amazing. Ginger Ming had me laughing my fake eyelashes off and I loved Adores singing. I would definitely recommend this to a friend.

All of the performances were first rate. Everyone revealed a strength not previously shown in addition to previously displayed skills. Everybody was so friendly to the nervous, star-struck fans. It was just a magical night.

    The Queens were amazing

by Shelly810 on 5/25/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

They have so much talent and I feel thankful for their shares. I cannot believe how warm and inviting these talented people are. The actually made me so welcomed and loved. They took time to speak with me and never once did I feel like they were in to much of a hurry or not interested. Thank you from the bottom of my undeserving heart. You made my night and I had one of the best nights in my life.

    Eleganza Extravaganza!

by TheRealBarbiegirlnc on 5/25/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

The show was absolutely fantastic! For fans of RuPaul's Drag Race, this is your chance to have the full experience including The Snatch Game! Michelle Visage is a wonderful MC and talented as all get out! That girl can "sang"!!! Ginger steals the show as she did during season 7 -- how she didn't win, I'll never know! Adore is also a show stealer! Don't miss the opportunity to see these performers in person!

Drag taken to a whole new level

by Leigh83 on 5/25/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

This was not your average drag show by any means. This was a production! It was a great show with traditional lip syncing and live singing as well. Very well done. Extremely professional. I would highly recommend to Drag Race fans.

    My favorite show ever!!

by 18twist96 on 5/25/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

I was nervous coming to this show because I have never been to a drag show or a club. I'm happy that it was at DPAC and not a club because I have been there many times and I know what to expect. Once I got to DPAC and got to my seats I wasn't nervous anymore the people in the audience were nice. When the show started I was really excited and through out the show I couldn't stop laughing. It was so entertaining. So many of the queens sang live and they had amazing voices. When the show was ending I knew I really enjoyed it because I was so sad that it was over and I didn't want to leave. I hope RupaulBOTS comes to DPAC next year because I will definitely be going again.

    Where Was Rupaul?

by Berdette on 5/25/16DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

We enjoyed attending Rupaul's Drag Race....but where was Rupaul? Not at DPAC. Music was good, crowd was as entertaining as the performers....bass was a bit too loud....thumping against our chests near the back....but no one seemed to mind. A unique performance worth seeing once.

RuPaul's Drag Race Battle of the Seasons 10 stars!

by AliStroh on 5/23/16DPAC - Durham, NC

Rupaul's Drag Race Battle of the Seasons was absolutely spectacular. The talent was so much more than I could have ever prepared for. Amazing vocal talent, THOSE COSTUMES tho, and comedy that kept me laughing the whole show through. The stand they made by coming to North Carolina as opposed to the many who have chosen to cancel their performances, was a stand and voice that in my opinion is one that will make the biggest impact on HB2. They chose to COME TO NC and speak to have their voices heard on the battleground instead of standing at the borders with a picket sign. They chose also to come and lift the spirits of those who are most effected by this atrocious bill.

    Unexpected...

    by precious00488 on 5/23/16Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

I loved this event! I watch every episode every week so of course I loved watching them perform live! The only thing I didn't like was some of the ladies doing their own thing, I was rather bored. Some can sing very well, they just aren't "performers". Also, being in Atlanta, we kind of expected Ru to come out but of course he didn't. And we had seat numbers printed on our tickets and it was standing room only. Very misleading.

RuPaul Drag Race was amazing & epic!!!

by ATLMOUSEKETEER on 5/17/16Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

Seriously one of the best shows I've ever been too! It was fun, hysterical & immensely entertaining on every level. I would definitely go again if given the chance. So if the Queens come to your city, you betta werk & snatch up tix!! Only down side was venue was general admission & standing room only for 3 hours. So skip the stilettos & go for sneakers or at least cute flats instead. Your feet & back will thank us both!

    Great

by Mikeingwd on 5/16/16Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

I would say this was one of the better shows that ive seen. I was really pleased on how the show went. I was looking forward to seeing Miss Fame, but she was in NYC accepting an award, but seeing Sharon Needles was great in her replacement. I would love to go see this show again if he were go come back around

    RuPaul's BOTS were just great

by ScoobeyDoo on 5/16/16Parker Playhouse - Ft Lauderdale

We had tickets to the meet and greet and all the girls (Michelle included) were just so cordial, approachable and took the time to chat with each and every person. It was more than we could have imagined. Then the show, there are not enough words to described the pure talent and professionalism displayed by every member of the troupe. This was pure ecstasy for the senses from start to finish.

The Drag Queens had me wanting more!!

by Anonymous on 5/16/16Buckhead Theatre - Atlanta

All of the Queens were great! By the end of the show I had lost my voice from screaming and cheering for them! I'm totally addicted to them the next time the show comes again I'm going to be there!
