The youngest ever performer on Like A Version and the youngest solo artist to win an ARIA Award, vocal prodigy Ruel is breaking records for fun.
Celebrating these remarkable feats by hitting the road in May on his Painkiller tour, Ruel will be stopping in Brisbane as he takes in the largest venues of his short but extremely eventful career and showcasing tracks from his highly anticipated second EP.
A transcendent new star on an unstoppable trajectory, the London-born, Sydney-based songwriter found himself on the ARIA podium as he took out the 2018 Breakthrough Artist gong for his soul-soaked banger Dazed and Confused, which landed in in triple j’s Hottest 100 alongside Younger.
Both tunes, taken from his ubiquitous debut EP Ready, were released amongst a tidal wave of hype which began to swell almost immediately around this young singer-songwriter as his extraordinary soul-tinged voice began to filter out. It was inevitable that fanbases would start mobilising worldwide and, with the help of ARIA Gold certified single Younger and most recent heartbreaker Not Thinkin’ Bout You, shows have been selling out all over the globe.

The warm up artist performed for just over 30 minutes and the crowd was standing in awkwardness for the rest of the hour until Ruel came on to perform. He performed for about an hour (don't get me wrong it was amazing) but not sure it was worth as much as I paid.
if you love music and just the art of it. you should go to one of his shows bc you can tell he just loves to make music and doesn’t care about the fame. 10/10 would recommend.
super fun super fresh amazing crowd amazing band and set totally don’t recommend if ur short bc u won’t be able to see anything but yeah venue did amazing ruel did AMAZING
Best concert I’ve ever been to one hundred percent would attend again.
The best show I've ever been to and I'm not just saying that because I'm a fan. He has such a good stage presence and I MISS HIM. I would say more but it's only been three days so I would cry
There is NO ONE ELSE I would stand outside in the rain for 7 hours for. Not only is ruel an amazing singer, but he has great stage presence I want to go see him again so much. I miss him. Not only did I meet him once that day but twice. He’s the sweetest human being and I can’t believe it’s over. It’s kinda sad he’s going to be so popular soon because it’s so nice to go to such a small intimate performance. If you have the chance go to one of his shows it will change your life
Even though I couldn’t see over a lot of people, i improvised by putting my phone all the way over my head so I could get videos of ruel. He’s such a great singer and now i’m waiting for the next show in Philly🤪
i have ptsd from this concert i miss ruel so much someone please tell him to marry me thanks bye the concert was amazing even though i could barely see bc i’m 5’2
For whoever got there early, we had to wait outside for a very long time in the pouring rain. It was terrible, I was completely soaked by the time I got inside. The security guard said it was protocol to let us under shelter, but never did so we had to sit/stand in the rain. When we finally made it inside you had to run to the top to get a good spot. It became completely packed within 30 minutes and you basically couldn’t move. Ruel was amazing (as always) but it was so crowded that you could barley move and dance.
