The sound guy had the bass guitar set at sub-sonic rumble . It lack any musical quality whatsoever. What’s up with this ? Not the first time this has happened at this venue . Very annoying.
From the moment she walked onto the stage, Roseanne captured the audience musically and spiritually. Her sincerity and generous spirit illuminated the entire performance. Her band was extraordinary as a group and individually. Roseanne and her band seemed to love playing with and for each other as much for the audience. A wonderful time in Ann Arbor.
Rosanne Cash and her band delivered big at the Michigan Theater! Her vocals were pure as gold and the musicians were outstanding. Cash told wonderful family stories and mentioned how in awe she is of the Detroit Motown Museum. She ended the encore set with a Diana Ross song. Don’t miss her fabulous concert!
Thank you to Roseanne and her band for a very enjoyable evening. Roseanne sang some of my favorite songs from The River and the Thread recording. One of the best performances of the night was a song from a list of 100 country songs that her daddy Johnny wrote down for her... "her country music education." She sang I'm Movin' On by the "great Hank Snow" as she put it, and her band was JAMMIN'! Great musicians! We drove several hours from Ohio to attend and it was a great time...

This was a painless process-from selecting the tix (great seats!) to putting them in my wallet on the phone, to seamless scanning entering the building. Oh, and of course, the show was fab. Real people making Real music.....

What a show! I could have sat there all night listening to Roseanne Cash’s words, music and stories. She is her father’s daughter. Not only is she a talent, but so is her band. Plus, it was a benefit for the homeless to provide breakfast 365 days a year in Ann Arbor, MI.
Great performance, fine artist interaction with audience, excellent sequence of songs. The only negative is that the Michigan Theatre had one control board setup in a position that partially blocked view of the stage from our seats. The monitor screens in their setup were vertically placed; simply having them tilted toward the stage would have alleviated the problem by reducing the height of the monitor screens.
I would have preferred the quieter folk songs. John Levanthal is great guitarist and so was the other guitarist. But didn’t need so much electrical guitars.
Extremely tight performance by her band. Outstanding vocalizations of several songs from "The 100 list". An enjoyable fun night and well worth the wait since her last appearance in Ann Arbor.
Great show, perfect venue, outstanding band. Rosanne Cash really seemed to be enjoying herself. It made for a wonderful show.
This country legend was in fine voice accompanied by her husband a masterful guitar player providing vocal accompaniment on several tunes. Reflective story telling songs prevailed from her newest album. Not setup as a "greatest hits" format for those looking for that. All in all a wonderfully, relaxing experience by an artist with a distinctive voice and a rightful place in the Cash dynasty.
Great performance by both Rosanne and Jon, her voice sounds as good as it ever did and his playing is masterful - restrained, subtle and beautifully accompanies her singing and playing. Dont miss them!
First time I went to this theatre and loved the atmosphere. Roseanne was at her best with her amazing voice. My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time, it was worth the wait.
I don't normally listen to Country/Folk (OK, I'll stop the beer commercial), but when I did, I was so glad that i chose Rosanne Cash's performance at the Kavli. She and her husband, John Leventhal but on a great set of acoustic music and story-telling. Thanks for a great show.
Great venue with good acoustics, Roseanne gave background on all her songs and best of all we could hear the lyrics!
Rosanne was terrific. Loved her concert I waited with my tickets 2 years to see her. I would definitely see her again.
