The show was enjoyable I thought that the play could use a bit of extra narration to move the story along Not everyone knows the story of Janis There were parts that dragged a bit and were confusing . A little extra narration would have helped Sophie B Hawkins has a great voice and sang well on Janis's songs The band is excellent !!! I enjoyed the show and think others would too
Loved the show, however did not love having a stagehand running on the stage three times to replace the body mike that obviously did not work. Next we had one of the dancers (who were fabulous,by the way) try to replace the mike,and finally they resorted to handing "Janis" a wired mike,....and that was how they finished the show. Somehow having stagehands running on the stage broke the mood of watching Janis Joplin.
we loved it....the music, the set..and Sophie was just great....
