About

Platinum recording independent artist, Ron Pope, made a name for himself in the early days of music streaming with the viral success of his song, A Drop in the Ocean - which has now been streamed over 1 billion times going platinum in the US and double platinum in Sweden. Once a die-hard New Yorker, Pope ultimately landed in Nashville where his songwriting is a natural fit for the Americana, roots, and country communities. His last full album, Bone Structure (March 2020), received praise from Rolling Stone, Billboard, CMT, Relix, The Tennessean, and more.

    Disappointed!!

by Anonymous on 3/11/14Masquerade - Atlanta

As much as we love Ron Pope and can't stop listening to his music we were extremely disappointed about the concert. We purchased out tickets months in advance and were greatly looking forward to seeing Ron live. However we were very disappointed that when the concert started at 7:00 we had to STAND and WAIT for over three hours to only listen to the opening acts. After 10:00 rolled around we waited for a while then finally left. It was rude and misleading. I've been to a lot of concerts and have never had to wait that long for the headliner to start. We had to go home so the baby sister would leave because we feared the concert would end to late.

Ron Pope nailed it! Made for a great night! Both Alexis Keegan and Francis Cone made the experience more enjoyable. Three amazing voices. Awesome evening!

    Ron Pope= talent

by Marilyj on 3/11/14Masquerade - Atlanta

I don't think you could've gotten a better performer. He definitely used what he had in that small venue and made it personal. He sounded even better than his record, and he interacted with the audience a lot. I will definitely see him again in the future.

Best concert I've ever been to!

by Deena9786 on 1/15/14Bowery Ballroom - New York

The Bowery ballroom was perfect to start off. Finding parking wasn't awful and the subway was right outside the venue! The venue itself is on the smaller side, making for a more personal show. The set up of the place is great, having the larger bar, bathrooms, and the coat check downstairs and the stage upstairs, with a third floor holding a few tables and chairs for those who prefer to sit. That being said, we arrived a little late and decided to grab a bite next door (great place). When we came back it was early, yet Ron Pope was setting up to go on! His performance was fantastic! It's one of those that gives you faith in musical artists again. He sounds just as good as he does in his songs, in fact, with a roughness to his actual voice, he sounds better. I couldn't have imagined a better show... That is until it was over and one of the bouncers asked my friend and I if we wanted a meet and greet. Without thinking twice we graciously accepted! Being brought back upstairs to the ballroom, Ron announced someone wished he would've sang a song and we were brought into the hallway where he sang "Perfect for Me" for about 12 of us. Again I was reminded, his voice.. insane! Afterwards we were lined up and Ron signed out tickets and took a picture with each of us. I couldn't have imagined a better night if I tried. I will definitely be back to the Bowery and most definitely be heading to any of Ron Pope's shows in the area.

    Fantastic

by Lauren2317 on 1/15/14Bowery Ballroom - New York

First time to see Ron Pope and at this venue and it was better then i expected. The venue is really chill and laid back. Smaller with bars upstairs and downstairs, a few small tables with chairs upstairs also with some couches in the back. Ron Pope and the artists before him were fantastic! He played alot of his newer stuff but still did a few oldies at the end. Also the bar next door was not a bad place to hang out afterwards with some craft beers.

Day two was an acoustic version, but not any less flawless. One could truly listen to Ron Pope for hours. His voice and lyrics are so real and raw. it truly touches your heart

    Ron Pope was pretty bad

by TigerUnicornMadness on 1/14/14Bowery Ballroom - New York

Ron Pope was very selfish during his concert last friday night at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC. He played only his new songs that no one knew or recognized. Every so often he would play one or two old songs, but the majority of the time we were all just disappointed by him. It was bad and I wouldn't go again. It was like going to a promotion of his new CD, which we didn't like at all. So bad.

    Absolutely amazing

by adspence2010 on 1/14/14Bowery Ballroom - New York

Ron Pope was just as great as I thought he would be live. It was my friend and I's first overbight trip to NYC and it was well worth the stay. The venue was also nice. I really liked the "feel" that the Bowery Ballroom has.

    OVER RATED

by Raemusic on 8/13/13Irving Plaza powered by Klipsch - New York

RON POPE PLAYED MOST OF HIS NEW SONGS FROM HIS NEW ALBUM WHICH WAS JUST RELEASED A WEEK PRIOR. EVERYONE WAS COMPLAINING WE WANTED TO HEAR HIS OLD STUFF. WHICH ISNT THAT OLD BECAUSE HE HAS RELEASED TONS OF NEW ALBUMS THIS YEAR. HE NEEDS TO STICK WITH ONE ALBUM FOR A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME.

    Great Live Music

    by Panda820 on 5/23/11Knickerbockers - Lincoln

If you love good talent, live performances and great vocals, you must see this show. I felt it was a little pricey for the amount of songs played, but it was definitely a good night.
