Romeo Santos on Tour
The American-born king of the danceably melodramatic Dominican style known as bachata, Romeo Santos has created an irrepressible solo presence since leaving the remarkably successful bachata boy band Aventura in 2011.
In 2019, Santos' launched his Utopia Tour, following his Golden tour, a nearly three-hour excursion featuring the hits that have sold more than 100 million singles and 40 million albums throughout his 20-year career.
Romeo Santos in Concert
Anthony "Romeo" Santos was born in the Bronx in 1981 to a Dominican father and Puerto Rican mother. As the main singer and songwriter for Aventura, the band of brothers and friends he cofounded in 1996, Santos took bachata mainstream. Bachata is a centuries-old Dominican folk sound characterized by the suave interplay of slinky nylon-stringed guitar and smooth percussion. Aventura added hip-hop and R&B. The band separated in 2011 after releasing several albums and hits like the internationally beloved "Obsesión," "Un Beso" and "Los Infieles."
Santos returned to action only months later beginning with "You," which he followed with a string of hits including "Promise," "Propuesta Indecente" and "Héroe Favorito." His 2017 album Golden featured guest appearances by reggaeton and hip-hop stars such as Daddy Yankee, Nicky Jam and Boi-1da. After proving himself on urban turf, he returned to his roots in 2019 with Utopia, which features collaborations with bachata legends Anthony Santos, Luis Vargas, Monchy & Alexandra and — much to the surprise of nearly everyone — a reunited Aventura. Santos commands listeners' attention through it all with his soft, sensual reflections on the deliciously painful pleasures of romance.
Amazing Concert from start to end I was on my feet what a show!
Great concert everything was good. Romeo singing two hour nonstop was great. Difinetly i will see him again.
Great performance!!!! MSG staff extremely helpful and polite!!!!
ROMEO WAS AMAZING, VERY ENTERTAINING AND THE SEATS WERE GREAT!
The sound was a lil off but it was great I will try to get maybe a better person to fix the sound maybe like the one Jay-z use
This is my 4th time seeing Romeo in concert. I have been an Aventura fan ever since they came out and I was in middle school. Until this day I am a huge fan an always will be. I make sure I go to every concert in the NY area and purchase every CD!! The concert was worth every penny and I love him as an artist. Although it was his first time in concert as a solo artist he did an amazing performance. I love you Romeo!!!!
Romeo is a true talent! It was a unforgettable moment. The guests he brought were wow!
This was my Birthday gift... Best gift I love Romeo I have been to every concert of him at MSG... Can't wait for him to come back... Would have love to been that girl he put on stage... That would really have been the best BIRTHDAY in history!!!!
I loved loved loved his concert . I want to go again
It was a great show!!!!! Romeo getting closer to the public was a really nice gesture.
He didn't rehearse because he messed up on several occasions, where the music would play after him ; i didn't understand that
I enjoyed every moment of the show. I was hoping for a special guest like Anthony Santos or like Luis Vargas and that would have put the icing on the cake but with Ushers presence that was good enough but Romeo always makes his shows exciting and fun so this is why I don't mind spending the amount of money I did to go see him and I will do it again in the future when he is in my area again. Thanks for a great show
Had a great time!!!! Romeo was the best!!! Can't even describe the excitment ...It was so worth it!!!
I love Romeo & his music but this concert was not AT ALL what I expected. This was supposed to be his BIG kick off in NYC! I expected him to at the very least bring more than just ONE artist from his new CD. Like what the heck happened to Lil Wayne or Raulin or Luis Vargas? Come on, he should have gone all out! & ok I appreciated Prince Royce coming but 1) he was not part of his new cd & 2) what the heck happened to the Mic? It just felt like it was just thrown together at the last minute! I expected MORE, HELLO you ARE THE KING OF BACHATA? I love him but it was NOTHING like his last AVENTURA concert! & not cause of the "GROUP" but I just expected more. I was so sad & disappointed, especially since it was a Vday gift for my boyfriend. I felt like I had let him down too. Just saying!
The concert was great. I loved everything he did. Looking forward to assist to another concert.
Romeo along with Prince Royce & Usher def rocked the house
They concert was great I just expected more artist to appear but overall the concert was great
This concert was soo much better than expected. Romeo would interact with the audience and got to show his funny side which was nice. He broughtup people from the audience which was amazing and funny. Then at the end when we thought it was over he came out with usher. I had a great time.
I had a great time. Romeo is always great but I was a little disappointed that he didnt have other collaborators with him. I was looking forward to Mario Domm, the " Debate de 4" crew, lil wayne and Pitbull. I really thought he would bring them out but he made it work. Prince Royce was a shocker and Usher killed it.. I thought the garden would be sold it but there were alot of empty seats. Overall, great performance !!!
the even was amazing and would so pay to see him again but the garden needs to get bigger seats all the people were sititng on top of eachotehr ....But romeo made the concert off the hook and has special guest
