Show
by P. C. on 2/16/20Uptown Theater - Kansas CityThe venue was fine and everyone there working was fine. But the show only last 45 mins for 40 bucks doesn’t seem like a good price for such a short show . Artist needs to play longer!

Roddy Ricch on Tour
Known for his reflective, emotional rapping, Roddy Ricch puts on a live show that turns songs like "Die Young," "Down Below" and "Every Season" into intense sing-alongs. He sees music as therapy, telling vivid tales of his Compton hometown while bounding across the stage. He's traveled on Post Malone's 2019 European tour and captured bookings such as Philadelphia's Made in America Festival and London's Reading Festival. With the runaway success of "Die Young," he's been a cameo presence on the live circuit, hitting the stage at Powerhouse 2018 in Philadelphia as a guest of headliner Meek Mill and storming Coachella 2019 during a set by Juice WRLD. He also turned up at Ultra Music Festival during a set by Marshmello to perform their collaboration "Project Dreams."
Roddy Ricch in Concert
When Roddy Ricch — born Rodrick Wayne Moore, Jr. — started making waves, he was based in the Los Angeles hip-hop mainstay Compton. He has a cross-country, region-free sound, though, thanks to a diverse upbringing: a grandmother from Louisiana, family in Mississippi and New York, trips to Chicago and some inspiring time spent in Atlanta. Growing up in Compton, he went to the same church as Kendrick Lamar, but ended up gravitating to Southern rap heroes like South Carolina's Speaker Knockerz and Atlanta kingpins Gucci Mane, Future and Young Thug. His early interest in rap was more of a hobby, fooling around at home with equipment at age 16, but people took notice of his natural ability. He released his debut mixtape, Feed Tha Streets, in 2017, which garnered praise from the likes of Meek Mill, 03 Greedo, DJ Mustard, RJ and the late Nipsey Hussle. His breakthrough came in the summer of 2018 with his emotional single "Die Young," a tribute to fallen rappers. Ricch soon began appearing on songs alongside Meek Mill and Future ("Splash Warning"), Nipsey Hussle ("Racks in the Middle"), producer Marshmello ("Project Dreams") and the remix of Post Malone's "Wow."

This concert was sooooo lit!!! The vibes were amazing. Safe environment
House of Blues in Cleveland Ohio was a crazy show. Intro went insane, the box went insane, high fashion etc. list goes... It helped that the crowd was filled with a lot of day 1 fans so he did play a good amount of older songs which was a really nice touch to the show and changed it up. Overall love roddy and love the show will make sure to go again on the next tour!!!
The venue itself was absolutely stunning and had a good bit of area to move and vibe. Performance was definitely in my top 5. Only thing I didn’t like was having to wait almost an hour outside....seemed like security staff wasn’t prepared for the volume of people coming for the event.
Roddy put on one hell of a show. However this event should have not been an all age event. VIP experience was cool, the staff takes your phone to take your photo with Roddy. You also get a ‘Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial’ beanie and a lanyard with all his tour dates on it as well. Cuuhraig (opener) definitely did his thing. He brought that ‘Cali’ vibe to Boston. As far as the all ages events goes, there were too many kids in the crowd pushing and shoving to get closer to the stage. Security had to kick some fans out because of misbehaving and not being able to handle their liquor. We’re probably going to rsvp for a table next time if he comes again to Big Night Live.
He was late than stayed on stage for at max 45 minutes. Started with the box, than needed with the box three times. No audience engagement and was just mad whack. He had no dance moves. Little off key. But that’s still my boy and I’ll still go to the next one but I just think he’s too new to be a good performer yet
The performance from Roddy Rich and the staging was great. The venue itself was nice but the way the setup for tickets were was awkwardly organized. That alone makes me think twice of attending the venue for a performance.
security was very nice everything went well in the venue and although we had to wait in about an hour outside in the cold they were pretty prompt about coming inside and making things very easy-going
In my humblest opinion it was one of the best concert experiences ever, and I’ve been to many. He came out to perform as scheduled, which means he didn’t have the crowd standing waiting for hours like some artists. That’s very professional of him. Also, the show wasn’t long and drawn out. He came and did his thing like the young humble King that he is and left the crowd with some encouraging words, respect. I can’t wait for him to come back!
I love Roddy but I wish he would have performed more older songs for the day 1 fans! But overall, great concert!!!
I’ve always been a roddy Ricch fan , love him. He of course put on a great show , good energy , good song selection. The only thing is , having us stand and wait for as long as we did was kind of tough , and the venue was very tight so lots of us had a hard time breathing and getting air , but that’s just how these types of shows go, If you are thinking about seeing him please do , he doesn’t disappoint
he came out 2 and a half hours late but this was still the littest concert ever, the entire crowd was vibin. 100/10 so fun
When an artist can put their heart into their performance it is truly appreciated and it shows you that the concert is worth every penny you spend.
