The performers were very good. It was fun to hear John Denver's songs performed live once again. That's the good part. The audio for Steve Weisberg's guitar was distorted at times throughout the performance. Vogel Hall at the Marcus Center For The Performing Arts in Milwaukee BADLY needs a make over. The auditorium still has the original 40 plus year old, overly used and worn out seats. They are complete with duct-tape holding parts of the upholstery together along with no padding and seat springs that gouge right up into my back-side. For this reason, I would NOT recommend this or any other venue playing at Vogel Hall to anyone wanting to have an enjoyable, pain free evening out.
I was a bit skeptical about someone doing a John Denver tribute, but Ted has the vocal ability to pull it off and he also captures the flavor of John's intense passion and love for singing.
Not as good as I was expecting. Ted Vigil and Steve Weisberg were the only musicians. Ted Vigil did a fair job as John Denver. Steve Weisberg was incredible as he was John's original guitarist. I expected a full band for $38 tickets. I saw a different John Denver tribute artist at the Schauer Center in Hartford with a full band. He did a much better job and had videos (just like John did) to accompany the music.
