Alice in Chains put on an INCREDIBLE show!!!

    by Funluvingal67 on 8/13/13Comcast Theatre - Hartford

The festival was fantastic, main stage bands rocked it out! We went with a non-rocker who left the show a Jane's Addiction addict! She went home to download their music, NICE JOB JANES! Perry Ferrell put on a hell of a show, great performance. My personal favorite is Alice in Chains and they did not disappoint! They were awesome, just love hearing their music and William Duvall does a fantastic job with the old music. New music was incredible. Overall a great show!

    Alice in Chains!!!

    by mpm1970 on 8/13/13Comcast Theatre - Hartford

Alice in Chains were great. They were the only band we went to see. Not a big Janes Addiction fan. The sound was awful and what was up with the camera work that night. Blurry and unsteady!! Not very professional.

    Alice n Jane's

by EarlofFife on 8/13/13Comcast Theatre - Hartford

Hot show, Perry and the boys kicked it of with some blistering DN guitar. Mountain Song all the way to Been Caught Stealing was a historical flashback to what they call Modern Rock. The Mighty Alice & Chains, Jerry Cantrell smoked along with new singers wine with a sub zero wah padal. Very impressive. My Russian GF heald her ears for the entire set !

Complete with a video backdrop, acrobats and occasional sparks flying from Dave Navarro's guitar, Jane's Addiction gave a mesmerising performance Saturday night as co-headliner at the Comcast. Songs such as "Ted, Just Admit it" featured the dancers/acrobats swinging and swaying sidewise on a rocking chair as singer Perry Farrell joined them in their dance routine all while wailing about how "sex. . .is. . .violent!" Drawing mostly from their vintage material, they employed the use of acoustic guitars and steel drums along the way for an encore of "Jane Says." With one foot in the past and one in the present, Alice in Chains performed a cross section of their songs from the debut "Facelift" all the way up to the current "Devil Put Dinosaurs Here." Singer William Duvall's vocals were fully "spot on" in keeping with the late Layne Staley's delivery of them. Duvall and lead guitarist Jerry Cantrell also engaged in some duel guitaring when performing cuts off the latest CD. An ever changing video backdrop showing dinosaur and human bones for cuts such as "Them Bones" along with freeway traffic and kaleidoscopic images complemented the music perfectly.

Alice in Chains ruled the night

    by jezzlee719 on 8/13/13Comcast Theatre - Hartford

I feel like this was a mixed show. Old School rockers, hippie like rockers and young kids. It was very eclectic. The choice of opening acts was not very well thought out and I think the ticket sales showed that. Alice definitely deserved top billing. Jane's Addiction was mediocre and uninteresting at best. Coheed and Cambria attracted a big crowd but were a little too "poppy" for my taste, and I think the fact that the venue didn't fill up until after 6pm means that a lot of people agreed. 2nd stage was pretty good with Duff's band closing it out. I would go again because I love seeing live music, but I am still scratching my head on the acts that were put together on this bill.

AIC was amazing, Janes addiction tech problems

    by Mikec3399 on 8/13/13Comcast Theatre - Hartford

AIC sound and light show awesome, JA, lots of technical issues, could have done with out the naked videos on the song sex, I had my 11 year old and 14 year old in the pit. 10 feet from the screens. not appropriate. wish the sound was better to do the song PETS, seemed like they ran off stage. coheid and cambria, were ok, last song was great, not long enough. all other bands I had no interest, we should had stayed in the parking lots. I had 15 people in my party, days events were very disappointing no lawn chairs, I am a disabled man, I had lawn seats, I brought a chair to kid rock, and water, this time I could not bring in water or a chair, they took my kids sports drinks, never even opened, the rules change all the time, this was a very mellow concert. I don't understand.

It was all about the headliners

by Palemonkey on 8/13/13Comcast Theatre - Hartford

Jane's Addiction and Alice and Chains co-headlined the event, and the stadium noticeably filled up for both the headliners. They both put on great shows, but I have to give the nod to Jane's for the more lively and energetic of the two performances. For the first part of Alice's set, the vocals were drowned out, which was also a bit of a bummer, but that was rectified by about the third or fourth song, and both bands did amazing setlists. Coheed & Cambria were a nice surprise. Aside from that, most of the opening bands were snoozers. They saved the best for last, as The Dead Daisies were quite good. There's quite a bit of pedigree to that band, too, with virtually all of the members coming from other high profile bands prior to this one (Guns N Roses, Thin Lizzy, Inxs, etc). The show does not get 5 stars because the opening bands were mostly dull acts, and the T Shirts on sale were also pretty drab. I really was hoping for a better selection from Alice In Chains in particular.

Great show.. Circa, Coheed needed longer sets

by HopeCon on 8/12/13Toyota Pavilion At Montage Mountain - Scranton

Loved the show! First time back to Montage in like 7 years. As the title says, Coheed and Circa needed MUCH longer set times, other than that a great time was had. Beer prices are f'ing crazy too, but being it was my bday, I didn't pay for much!

    Great show

by dawg4life on 8/12/13Toyota Pavilion At Montage Mountain - Scranton

First festival concert I was at that had me interested in almost all the opening bands. I new of a few of them...most were new to me. I liked all of them. The whole show was pretty eclectic, and I would say that that is a good thing. I bought tickets mostly for Alice In Chains/Janes Addiction/Coheed and Cambria. All three of these bands did not disappoint. Would love to see AIC do a longer set though.

Uproar festival is always a blast!!

by BrianndShell on 8/12/13Toyota Pavilion At Montage Mountain - Scranton

Okay, so some of the bands u never heard of but everyone's heard of janes addiction and Alice and chains (even if its not the original band) before- for $10.00 a ticket, where else could u go. Most bars have that for a cover charge for local bands that don't have their shit together..... I loved the festival, been going every year since the first. Yes, some years headliners were better then others but all in all, no matter who the festival brings- it always will be not only an awesome day but a great show!

    Jane's Addiction/ C&C rocked. AIC...not so much

by VeeDoubleYou on 8/12/13Toyota Pavilion At Montage Mountain - Scranton

Jane' Addiction stole the show. Navaro's screaming guitar, coupled with Farrell's frontman-ship and antics made this show unforgettable. Great set.Coheed and Cabria rocked as well....High energy that would be consistent with the term "uproar". Alice in Chains were very boring...without "man in the box" and "Would?", I don't think they could hold a crowd. We saw many people leaving through their set. It was just too slow. The bass player's endless spitting was a complete turnoff to all women around me. Bottom line, Jane's Addiction should be the headliner...they know how to work a crowd and deliver a show. I would never pay money to see Alice in Chains again....lame.

    Alice in Chains were incredible!!

by musicsoul on 8/12/13Toyota Pavilion At Montage Mountain - Scranton

Most of the bands on the side stages were good, The bands that played on the main stage were great! C & C first time seeing band but was pleasantly surprised, Janes Addiction were excellent! Dave N. blew us away with his playing. Alice behind the new singer, what energy and power they possess!

    FREAKING AMAZING!!!!!!

by Rydersmaw on 2/6/13Verizon Wireless Amphitheater - St. Louis

If you love rock music this is an awesome festival! I went to the one in St. Louis and loved it! The lineup was pretty good. Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind, Papa Roach, Adelitas Way, P.O.D., Deuce, In This Moment, Mindset Evolution and others. Shinedown- Don't think they should have been headlining. I like a few of their songs but I'm not a huge fan or anything. They put on a good show, though. Godsmack- I'm a Godsmack fan. Love them but Sully kept turning around and facing the speakers when he was playing guitar. They were better than Shinedown by far. I will say Sully is somewhat of a badass on drums. Staind- Aaron Lewis was kind of pissy like always. His guitarist put on a damn good show. Papa Roach- Even though Jacoby didn't have a voice-- he rocked the hardest! I'm a huge Papa Roach fan so I may be a little biased but I think they should have headlined the whole thing if they wouldn't have had to drop out. Glad he's better now and hopefully they can be at this years Uproar. The side stages were awesome and very crowded. I love crowds though. It was like one big party-- people were crowd surfing. We actually started it while Deuce was on an people kept coming to us so we could lift them up. It was just awesome. P.O.D. was amazing and crazy. I wasn't an In This Moment fan until I saw then live now I'm a big fan. I cannot wait until next year!!! Excited to see this years' lineup :)

    SHINEDOWN--GODSMACK--OUTSTANDING SHOW!!

by Coconut20 on 9/24/12The Woodlands Pavilion - The Woodlands

We arrived about an hour before Adelitas Way came onto the main stage at 6:00. They were great, I knew all of their songs and really enjoyed their performance. I have seen Adelitas Way before with Shinedown and they were not so good, I think frontman, Rick was better at engaging the crowd at this concert. The crowd was a little disappointing during their show, guess not many people know them. The Collapse, Sick, Invincible are great live!!! Staind was next and put on a good show however frontman Aaron is a weird dude, or his onstage performance is super cocky. I have heard this about him before but didn't expect him to leave the stage at the end and say nothing to the crowd.....Not even a Thanks Houston or Long Live Rock and Roll.....I will see them again but only if they are paired with another awesome band. Godsmack!!!!! Daaaang, this show kicked ass. These guys know how to rock. First of all, they had a curtain completely covering their set and when they came on the curtain just dropped and they started jamming. It was intoxicating!!! Their setlist selection was superb and the crowd was freaking amazing!!! Everyone was on their feet and the energy was none I have ever seen before,,,,except maybe Rush or Linkin Park. At one point during the show Sully had everyone turn off their cell phones, I think at the end of Speak and just "feel" the rock and roll energy. It was incredible, really enjoyed this show. I will for sure see them again, headliner or not!!! Sully and company were total beasts!! Speak, Cryin like a Bitch, Get Up, Get Out, Straight Out of Line.....all of them were unreal. Shinedown was the headliner and they are always outstanding live!!! I looooove this band and Brent's voice is like none other. I could listen to him 24-7. They had a good mixture of old and new tunes,,,,Fly from the Inside----always one of my faves and I knew all of the Amaryliis new tunes. The pyro show was good but not necessary, sometimes it takes away from actual performace. They could do without so much of it in my opinion. Their Simple Man gig is getting old....even though they are better than Skynryd, they can take this one out of their show now. They rocked this show and if you haven't seen them GO SEE THEM!!!
