    by R. C. on 7/31/19Isleta Amphitheater - Albuquerque

I LOVED SUM 41 ! The Used was great too. Sll the other bands rocked too, but Sum 41 and The Used were my faves. The dound system for SUzm 41 was awesome. I could actually understand what they were singing.

One of the best days of my life.

by Izzaac Jourdan on 7/31/19White River Amphitheatre - Auburn

I got to see and meet my favorite band, The Used. It has been one of my top goals for many years. So, when I finally had the money to go see them, even though I am currently homeless, I used it to go see and meet The Used. But all it did in me achieving my goal, is make me feel the need to see and meet them again. I hope that I will.

    Great show/lineup! Terrible date.

by Basher on 7/30/19White River Amphitheatre - Auburn

The artists that performed all played their hearts out like it was for 1,000,000 people regardless of the fact that it was a Tuesday concert.. The idea to skip the line with an empty Rockstar can to recycle is genius.

    AZ summers are misery

    by J. J. on 7/30/19Ak-Chin Pavilion - Phoenix

I really enjoyed the lineup. But AZ summers are toooooo hot to really rock out a d enjoy it. Hence why we dont get warped tour here anymore. I hated all the people smoking too.

    Excellent Concert Format

by John A on 7/29/19North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre - Chula Vista

Having the bands run in-line compared to a lot of the festivals around lately, was an EXCELLENT decision. I didn't miss any bands I wanted to see, and the lineup was incredible. I would pre-order tickets for next year if they let me.

    Outstanding

by A. on 7/29/19North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre - Chula Vista

This festival was one of the most fun things I’ve been to. It had a perfect lineup and prices were fair. Having the free signings was amazing too. It gave people a chance to meet some of their favorite artist and take a picture with them. I will definitely go to this again next year if it happens again!

    Secondhand fun

by Carlos935 on 7/29/19North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre - Chula Vista

I ended up not being able to go because of a family event that fell on the same day. My significant other and a couple friends did end up going and having a great time though.

    Awesome Time!!

by D. P. on 7/29/19North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre - Chula Vista

The festival was great! I got to meet Andy Black, which was amazing. I didn't realize quite how far Chula Vista was, though, so I missed most of his set. Next time, I'll go to a closer venue. I wish the Used would have played earlier, though.

A tour with good intentions ...

by MyConcertRomance on 7/27/19Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre - St. Louis, MO - Maryland Heights

This tour seemed like a good idea when it was announced. There was enough quality bands that it seemed like this could be a simpler version of the now defunct Warped Tour. Unfortunately, the sum of all parts that made up this event just didn’t completely make sense. Some of the problems were beyond the tours control, but others could have been seen a mile away. Perhaps the oddest part of this tour was the placement of bands in the lineup. The idea of switching the closing band just didn’t work out. Part of what makes a show successful is the all day wait to watch the band everyone (or mostly everyone) came to see. The excitement slowly builds all day long and hopefully peaks right as the last band goes on. For some reason, this tour thought switching between The Used and Thrice nightly would be a good idea. No disrespect to Thrice because they are a very good band, but they just aren’t as big of a band as The Used and the lineup really seemed to be built around the type of band that The Used is. Not to mention the stage show/production for The Used seemed much better than for Thrice. The St. Louis date was filled with pouring rain, so it was lightly attended in the first place, but after The Used finished there was a mass exodus from the venue and the crowd that stayed for Thrice was extremely small. If you came for Thrice, you may have had somewhat of an empty feeling watching most of the crowd leave after The Used and the excitement that should have been building all day was kind of tempered. During the first part of the day the bands that should have played on a parking lot stage instead played on the amphitheater’s main stage. Since the parking lot would have been open seating, the venue and tour allowed anyone to sit anywhere for those bands. I thought that was a nice accommodation, after all it wasn’t the guests fault that it was raining and they should and did get the chance to be up front for their favorite side stage band. Once the first half of the show was over they cleared the venue and then seated people based on their purchased ticket. This is technically the right thing to do, but it really hurt the rest of the show. This is one of those things that I’m not sure they could have done anything about. It was a small crowd all day, but during the open seating the pit and lower level were pretty full and it felt like you were at a packed show. Everyone was having a good time and singing along. Bands like Sleeping With Sirens, Andy Black and Four Year Strong had great performances full of energy and certainly a small part of that had to be because the energy was high at that point in the theater. The re-seat caused there to be a lot of dead space in the pit, a sparse crowd in the lower level and a respectable crowd in the upper level (they closed the lawn for this show and re-ticketed everyone into the upper general admission). That created an odd feeling the rest of the night. I have to imagine it’s strange for the bands too. They’re playing a show in which the vast majority of the audience is in the back of the venue. I know this was Live Nation and the tour protecting our ticket value, but at the end of the day it just felt awkward and had an effect on the energy for the rest of the show. For me personally, the value of the ticket isn’t as high of a priority for me as having a great experience at the show. In the days of dynamic pricing and re-sale, it is common for the person next to you to have paid a different price for their ticket. You can get mad, but if you have a memorable time at the show, it might not matter. Back to some of the bands ... Hyro the Hero played to almost nobody, which was unfortunate because it was a high energy set. Four Year Strong was very good. Their sound was a little muddy at times, but they had a strong showing. Andy Black has a lot of fans and they all seemed to have a good time. I felt like the music didn’t necessarily fit with everyone else, but based on the response it didn’t seem to matter. Sleeping With Sirens was extremely impressive. They’re a band that could have been deserving of a spot with the “headline” bands. They have enough hits and they know how to work the crowd. Of the evening bands, Sum 41 stole the show. With the amount of hits they have they should have either been the headline every night or the co-headline with The Used. Circa Survive was a disappointment, I know they have a strong fan base, but they’re better suited for smaller venues. The Used were fantastic and felt like the perfect band to cap the night off. I stayed for 30 mins of Thrice before calling it a night. The energy was severely lacking by that point. All in all a good day, but it could have been better if the lineup had been crafted differently. With bands that usually play 500 - 2,000 cap rooms and putting them in a 20,000 cap facility, you’re really going to need to have things go right to be successful and I’m not sure that’s been the case.
