Amazing show! My husband and I were "wowed" by this incredibly talented group. It is a must see for any age!!!!
gee, they were amazing. five star rating any time. my first time experiencing such talent. would love to have them over for a christmas performance.
The show started with more of a rock flavor than I like. But it soon slowed the tempo and began to show the individual talents of these multifaceted extraordinary performers. They really know how to entertain! Their rendition of commercial jingles they actually performed on television was amazing! The show is a definite "must-see".
Most Unique Sounding Music ever heard!!!! Loved it
What a talented group of men, sychronized dancing, off the chart voice capabilities and quality. Personable and interaction with the audience was enjoyable. Each one brought their own unique personality to the stage and even though vastly different, they blended together and yet stood in each their own spotlight, no one out doing the other, that takes work to share a stage in harmony such as was portrayed. Even the newest member fit like he had been there from the beginning, no awkwardness. The only negative I would have is that some of the dancing is overboard to the point that it distracts from their musical talent. You were so busy watching and seeing where they were going that you forget they are singing.
I absolutely loved Rockapella!!! They were so smooth and harmonious! It was such a great mix of music too! If you haven't seen them, you should.
I'm a pretty biased "fan-girl" when it comes to this band. I grew up with Carmen SanDiego and loved all the music from the get-go then, and it stuck with me after the series came to an end. (I have an all-a capella station on Pandora thanks to this group.) Anyway, this was my second time seeing Rockapella in concert. They did not disappoint. They were precise in their harmonies and confident in their banter. The "new guys" fit in so well and sound amazing. Well Done, Rockapella! Absolutely loved them!
I've seen Rockapella several times over the last 10 years or so. They blow me away EVERY single time I see them. From the moment they hit the stage, right through to the end of their set, I can't help but smile. Rockapella makes you feel great with the magnitude of their talent. They make a strong connection to the audience with a performance that's fun, energetic, smooth, tight and engaging. This particular show was Steven Dorian's 2nd performance with the group. He fits right in! The chemistry he has with Scott, John, George and Jeff is amazing! Rockapella has a list, present and past, of incredibly talented singers that make up the group. Steven now adds his name to that list. Extra special props have to be given to Scott "Superman" Leonard. Still recovering from an accident that left him with broken ribs and a broken wrist, he delivered a stellar performance as always! It can't be easy doing choreography and delivering the usual excellent vocal performances Rockapella fans have come to expect while being injured. Thanks to Scott, John, George, Jeff and Steven for an amazing show and night and for being so gracious with your time after the show!! I look forward to seeing you again next time you come to the NY/NJ area!
Very professional and outstanding voices! I would like to watch this group another time.
This was my 2nd live concert with Rockapella and they were even more outstanding then the first time....they make incredible music and give a performance that brings the house down... will go to see them again and again.....
It was my first time to hear this group and I'm so glad I went. I gave a hug to my friend Amy who recommended me to see this group from years ago. If they come to NYC, I'm watching them again.
Another fabulous show was put on by Rockapella! They never disappoint and their fantastic harmonies are always AMAZING! If you have never heard them, this is a "bucket list" MUST!
Have been watching them in concert since 1993 at The Bottom Line in NYC. They are SO versatile! Their songs are great, they involve the audience, it is totally fun - and you had NO idea that this was only the second concert for Steve - the adorable new guy (think Il Divo handsome italian - type). You would have thought he was with them forever..... GREAT job guys!!! Go see them! They just get better every year.
These guys have true talent. Their voices are amazing. They make you feel at home with their shows. No machines, no lip syncing, just pure talent.
We have two of their CDs but this was our fist time seeing them live. These guys are as good as it gets. Amazing vocals, sophisticated arrangements, tight choreography. Incredible the way they weave in lines and melodies from so many other great songs into their cover tunes. Musically they cover the range from Motown to funk to love ballads. They showcased a few new originals which were excellent. I would have liked to hear a couple of their classic originals too, such as Moments of You or Have a Little Faith, but you can only pack so much into one show. Five stars for show stopping performances from all five members of the group.
It was very sad to miss Scott for this event and for it to be Kevin's last performance with the group. The harmonies were just not the same without Scott nor was the witty banter the same. Perhaps you could convince them to do a 2010 Christmas Reunion to make up for this less than stellar performance
The opening acts were very good, so entertaining! Rockapella is simply the best!!!!!
jolly good show.. spectacular voices! Fun for the whole family
Theatre: It was a lovely theatre. The layout is good and the decoration is just beautiful. The only unfortunate thing was that the city had them with low water pressure. That's not their fault though, and it really didn't matter much. Rockapella: I've never seen Rockapella fail to fire up a performance. It was sad that Scott got hurt, but they filled the gap well. I can't say that I didn't miss him, but it was kind of nice to hear more of Kevin's performance standing out. The arrangements were wonderful and I enjoyed the humor in the show (John's story about the woman at Wal-mart, Kevin and his stories, etc.). The singers themselves were amazing. It's hard to believe that there are no instruments, thanks especially to Jeff, but Kevin's voice is too beautiful to believe it's coming out of a person. George provides a good, solid bass, while John's tap-dancing wowed so many people. The songs were varied in tempo and mood, and they were performed so well that you could get hooked on any one of them.
Without Scott, it just wasn't the same. Missing the fourth note was not pleasant. The dance group and the drum line was great.
