The only thing we went to was to hear the speaker and Third Day. The speaker was really good. Fear is a big thing for a lot of people, for many different reasons. As a youth pastor, I was glad for my teens to hear that and believe they were really touched by it. And of course...Third Day was awesome. As always!
I had to wait a long time to make it into the park, but once I did, the concert made up for every last bit of it. There was something for everyone that was clean and Christ centered: rap, hard rock, worship music. I recommend it to everyone.
Everything was wonderful!! The security was awesome and the all the artists totally rocked!! They all truly have God given talent!!
If you want to enjoy rides, do not choose this Christian Concert day. If you want terrific concerts, it was fabulous. The crowd was absolutely over the top.
I had a great time with my daughter at the concert. Third Day and Jeremy Camp were rockin'. It was a worshipful experience. Praise God.
First year going and it was Awesome! Would highly recommend to anyone that likes Christian music.
My family and I really enjoyed the concert and the artists, but the venue was horrible. We arrived a half hour after the park opened, and were in traffic to GET IN to the parking lot for almost 2.5 hours. Sorry, but this is not an exaggeration. I paid $12 to park my vehicle in the grass at the back of the lot and there were not enough people working for the number of visitors at the park. I spent the entire day waiting in lines, only having to get out because a child, in line for an hour and a half, could not hold their bladder any longer. This is my first event at Carowinds and my last. I don't think I will ever visit the park again because of this experience.
Wonderful experience! Worshiping the Lord with thousands of other believers!
Awesome concert!!!! Loved it!!! Will go back again!!! Only bad thing was it was really crowded
Every band was amazing and we will be looking for future events to enjoy :-)
The show was great! Everyone did a fantastic job and it was a great worshipping experience! I truly felt God's presence and could the artists were in that place as well.
We had a great time at Carowinds in Charlotte!! Rock The Park was awesome. My personal favorites were Jeremy Camp and of course Skillet!! Our seats were great. We even had a slight weather delay, but all was handled well. We will definitely return for other shows!!
If you missed this concert you missed out on an awesome concert. Not only did Tenth Avenue North and Jeremy Camp bring their A Games and put on great sets. But Skillet Blew the roof off the place. They played all the hits and had the crowd involved the whole time. By far the best Skillet show I have seen. Funny line of the night was when John looked over at his wife Korey who is their guitarist and said " That my Woooman" the crowd laughed and he goes "no really we been married 14 yrs" to which the crowd gave a round of applause. Seth Morrison the new Lead guitarist is filling Ben's shoes nicely and he has some big shoes to fill. The stage set up was awesome and the rotating plateform for Jen's drums was really nice.
The only band I went to see was Skillet, we had seats on the fifth row, wish I could've gotten the first row. Skillet put on an awesome show, hands down. Even if you do not listen to Christian music or not, you need to see them live. I've seen hundreds of concerts, literally, from Godsmack, Zombie, Tom Petty, Korn, Metallica, etc..... and Skillet is up at the top of performances. The energy they put off is amazing and they sound perfect.
This concert was great! A lot of energy, a lot of great bands and I love the fact that Carowinds supports Christian artists! The sound was amazing at the pavillion and the show the bands put on was awesome!
This was the first music festival I've been to when all of the bands put on an amazing show. Manic Drive was high energy, I only whish they would have done a few more songs. Anthem Lights was great, we really enjoyed thier vocals. This was the third time we've seen Family Force 5 and we love thier high energy dance music! FF5 is so much fun. Tenth Avenue North was great. Our favorite moment from thier set was when the storm rolled in, and the lead singer went out into the crowd. I really felt God's presence. We all loved Jeremy Camp. He combined upbeat music with powerul worship songs that got the tears flowing for both my daughter and I. This was the sixth time we've seen Skillett, and my entire family agreed it was the best one yet! The pyro, the lighting, the smoke, the atmosphere was awesome! We left that concert a half deaf, voiceless, exhausted, sore, sweaty mess and loved every minute of it!
Concert was incredible!! SKILLET blew my mind yet again! Try to sit near the front.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement and awe.
I have been to these events at Carowinds before, and I would have to say that this was by far the best lineup of performers yet. There was a wide variety of styles for taste in music. My teenage son and his friend enjoyed half of the performers (which is a stretch with them being hard core Metallica fans). Thank God for Family Force 5. Another Christian group that will keep my son listening to Christian music. I have seen Skillet in concert four times. This by far was their best performance. They are such an animated group - very talented group in many aspects.
