Roberto Carlos Live in Concert
Brazilian pop-rock trailblazer Roberto Carlos is known to many as "the King of Latin Music." With a career spanning more than half a century, Carlos has sold more than 140 million albums globally and is considered one of the most influential pop artists in Brazil and the world. With the help of co-writer and frequent collaborator Erasmo Carlos, Roberto Carlos has written more than three dozen Top 10-charting singles.
Born to a lower middle-class family in 1941, Carlos began playing the guitar and piano as a child. At just 9 years old, he performed for the first time at a children's show broadcast by Rádio Cachoeiro, where he won first prize and became a regular performer.
As a teenager, Carlos moved to Rio de Janeiro and formed a band originally called the Snacks, which was later renamed the Sputniks. In the late '50s, Carlos went solo and performed bossa nova in the style of Brazilian singer João Gilberto. When his first full-length album, 1961's Louco Por Você (Crazy for You), failed to achieve commercial success, Carlos switched back to rock music.
As a pop/rock musician, Carlos drew influence from then-popular American and British acts such as Little Richard, Bill Haley, Elvis Presley, and The Beatles. He eventually became the face of "Jovem Guarda" (Young Guard), which started as a TV show hosted by Carlos but eventually became a catchphrase for a Brazilian musical movement influenced by the Western midcentury rock and roll wave. Carlos' 1964 album, É Proibido Fumar, especially exemplified this upbeat sound and style, also known in Brazil as iê-iê-iê ("yeah-yeah-yeah").
In the late '60s, Carlos began to pivot his artistry to specialize more in love songs. Along with close collaborator Erasmo Carlos, Roberto Carlos penned now-famous hits such as "Detalhes," "Sua Estupidez," "Jesus Cristo," and "Debaixo dos Caracóis dos Seus Cabelos," earning him Grammy accolades and top chart placements in Latin America. Carlos' love songs became especially popular in neighboring Argentina, and by the '70s, he had become the best-selling Brazilian musician in history.
In 1988, Carlos won a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Performance, plus several Latin Grammys in the early 2000s. In 2015, the Latin Recording Academy honored him with the prestigious Person of the Year award. In 2009, Carlos celebrated his 50th anniversary as a performer, touring through North and South America to honor the achievement alongside fans. More recently, Carlos released his 2018 Spanish-language album Amor Sin Límite, which featured duets with Jennifer Lopez ("Llegaste") and Alejandro Sanz ("Esa Mujer").

We always dream listening to his songs. All about love!
It was a great and amazing concert. Roberto Carlos performed one of his best concert in Miami, and loving songs got attention in all present audience. I am looking forward to enjoying this kind of concert again.
Just went to have a night of memories and feelings of those old days of clasic romantic music. WOW how great and passionate concert. Romantic and fun at the same time. His voice is the same as when his younger years. Nothing has changed. Awesome. Will see him again and again.
His sympathy, the songs, the positive energy he has gives the audience a positive atmosphere that makes the whole concert look beautiful. He is the guy(ele é o CARA) I recommend this concert for all ages. Around me was all ages and everyone was singing and happy the whole concert.😃😃😃👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️ Thank you Roberto Carlos for the beautiful concert 😀😀😀😀
The concert was wonderful but this was the first time that the valet parking was full despite arriving with enough time. The place where the car is received for the valet is more uncomfortable now than the previous one, for the rest it was an unforgettable experience
Roberto Carlos keep doing a Excellent show as ever did.
Roberto Carlos was amazing! The show was so romantic and he song his most popular songs. His voice is still amazing. I was really impressed
Amazing! I wish he would come every year. Weenjoyed
The show itself was OK. However, I expected to listen to the original Brazilian songs. Unfortunately, about 80% of the songs he performed were in Spanish! I realize that most of the audience was probably Mexican, but I am still disappointed that my Brazilian idol chose to sing these ridiculously translated songs instead of the original ones! By the way, I am Brazilian and proud of it!!!
The show was awesome, the only negative is that being Braziluan I expected to hear the songs in Portuguese, not in Spanish.
Excellent concert! Beautiful songs and great orchestra!!!
The show was amazing! I love his new band. The old songs are updated and sounds so good with the new mix. Roberto has great charisma. He puts on a great show. At the end of the show he gives the women roses. I got one. The Mandalay Bay had a great sound system. Last year, I saw his show at MGM grand and the sound system there did not do him any justice. He should choose Mandalay Bay or Radio City Hall. Roberto's music is too good to not be heard in a venue that doesn't have a great sound system. The energy in the audience was exciting. I was shocked to see so many women from all age groups have so much fun. Roberto is a great performer. I would see his show over and over again! I'm a huge fan. One day I hope to meet him.
Wonderful experience!!! He needs to come more often specially to visit/tour Florida. His concerts are not advertised so I almost missed it...
Roberto is an icon when it comes to the romantic Jovem Guarda musical movement. He is definitely the King. It is amazing that he has not lost his voice at his mature age of 74. His songs will take you back to memory lane if you grew up listening to his songs. Great concert and his female string section is composed of hot looking girls.
I've been to a few concerts, marc anthony, carlos vives, romeo santos, maluma, elefantes, j balvin, etc But this concert was my favorite. the way he connected with us , it was out of this world. It was really emotional, my mom , brother and I , We all cried at some time. it touched our souls
The music was totally renewed without loosing the original versions his fans love so much. He was full of energy and drove the audience mad.
He is perfect. One of the best singers in the world, the best person that I know. He is wonderful and no "buts". Everything that he does is perfect. I was in San Diego and it was the best. We didn't want him to go away. He needed to come back many times. Every people that received a rose, kept with love, because he is only LOVE !
Roberto Carlos is an amazing singer, a legend in the Brazilian musical scene as well as in all Latin America. However the acoustics of the theater was terrible! Even though I knew most of the lyrics it was almost impossible to hear him singing. Definitely wanna see him in concert again but I would think twice before purchasing tickets in this theater. I'll definitely do more research when buying sets.
Roberto Carlos was amazing. He did a fantastic job at speaking and singing to the crowd in both his native tongue of Portuguese and Spanish. Unfortunately, his voice was often swallowed by the loud sound of his band. Whoever is responsible for this, his team or the venue, should really work on it because it really took away from the overall experience.
