Roberto Carlos Live in Concert
Brazilian pop-rock trailblazer Roberto Carlos is known to many as "the King of Latin Music." With a career spanning more than half a century, Carlos has sold more than 140 million albums globally and is considered one of the most influential pop artists in Brazil and the world. With the help of co-writer and frequent collaborator Erasmo Carlos, Roberto Carlos has written more than three dozen Top 10-charting singles.
Born to a lower middle-class family in 1941, Carlos began playing the guitar and piano as a child. At just 9 years old, he performed for the first time at a children's show broadcast by Rádio Cachoeiro, where he won first prize and became a regular performer.
As a teenager, Carlos moved to Rio de Janeiro and formed a band originally called the Snacks, which was later renamed the Sputniks. In the late '50s, Carlos went solo and performed bossa nova in the style of Brazilian singer João Gilberto. When his first full-length album, 1961's Louco Por Você (Crazy for You), failed to achieve commercial success, Carlos switched back to rock music.
As a pop/rock musician, Carlos drew influence from then-popular American and British acts such as Little Richard, Bill Haley, Elvis Presley, and The Beatles. He eventually became the face of "Jovem Guarda" (Young Guard), which started as a TV show hosted by Carlos but eventually became a catchphrase for a Brazilian musical movement influenced by the Western midcentury rock and roll wave. Carlos' 1964 album, É Proibido Fumar, especially exemplified this upbeat sound and style, also known in Brazil as iê-iê-iê ("yeah-yeah-yeah").
In the late '60s, Carlos began to pivot his artistry to specialize more in love songs. Along with close collaborator Erasmo Carlos, Roberto Carlos penned now-famous hits such as "Detalhes," "Sua Estupidez," "Jesus Cristo," and "Debaixo dos Caracóis dos Seus Cabelos," earning him Grammy accolades and top chart placements in Latin America. Carlos' love songs became especially popular in neighboring Argentina, and by the '70s, he had become the best-selling Brazilian musician in history.
In 1988, Carlos won a Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Performance, plus several Latin Grammys in the early 2000s. In 2015, the Latin Recording Academy honored him with the prestigious Person of the Year award. In 2009, Carlos celebrated his 50th anniversary as a performer, touring through North and South America to honor the achievement alongside fans. More recently, Carlos released his 2018 Spanish-language album Amor Sin Límite, which featured duets with Jennifer Lopez ("Llegaste") and Alejandro Sanz ("Esa Mujer").

All the event was incredible, I enjoyed it a lot, it reminded me of my childhood, I loved it. All services were good.
Amazing show. One of the best S. Florida ever seen
Everything was good only I didn’t see Roberto Carlos merchandise for sale!
The arena was very organized and he performance was amazing.
Fantastic show. He is the greatest! Beautiful songs! My only "complaint" is that it was advertised as 8 pm and started close to 9!!
We could hardly hear the singer voice, it was basically the orchestra… is it on purpose?
Roberto Carlos was fantastic me and my friends enjoy the concert very very much, the only complain I have is about the packing in the arena, the staff do not have any knowledge how to direct you, I am partily disable and wanted to park close to the elevators closer to section 112 and no one could direct correctly. Finally i had to walk a lot inside the arena to get to section 112.
A true legend and an outstanding show!! The only comment due to my experience is dont go to the FTX arena on the upper ring. The acoustic is bad.
At the entrance i need help employees where there to give a hand ....got to get in there on time .was very easy to find my seat
The show was AWESOME! Roberto Carlos, at 81, put on a GREAT SHOW!! All the various people involved in the organization of the event did an excellent job. I had bought parking in the arena and was pleasantly surprised to see that my parking section matched the section of my seats. So all I had to do was walk a few steps to an elevator which was led me to near my seats. Traffic coming out of the arena was bad but that was because of road construction in I-395.
Roberto is the best of the best. I can repeat again with him
The concert was very nice, everything was good and in my opinions the money was very well spent
The organization was perfect from the entrance to the accommodation and the show was spectacular just what I expected
I believe this was my first time back in the Arena after changing names from American Airlines to FTX, and I don't know if that was due to a change of ownership but man, was I disappointed. Sound was awful; you could not hear the singer very well cause the music was louder, and it was very difficult to understand what he spoke between a song and the other. There was microphone feedback, can you believe it??? Moreover, the Arena does not stop selling, so people were coming in until the very last song, looking for a seat and disrupting the experience for those of us who entered early. Moreover, the staff in charge of helping find seating was not very helpful, so the view of the concert was interrupted for people arguing how there was someone seating on their seats, how a section was a specific number or another, etc. I paid $250 for 2 seats, and left feeling I wasted the money.
The sound was terrible, the speakers were low and the quality was awful. Couldn’t listen to the words he was singing, even when he tried to communicate with the audience.
Sound very poor; could not understand what Riberto was saying when speaking. When singing, his voice was often not heard due to louder audience accompanying.
The sound of the concert was really bad and sometimes was super hard to hear the singer voice.
The singer was perfect as always. Unfortunately, the sound was horrible
My husband and I enjoyed the concert very much, still a beautiful voice, was a lovely and romantic night.
