Disappointed that there were not many competitors in the events and some of those competitors lacked the success to make a good source of entertainment - ie steer wrestling had four of the few competitors not even leave the horse in the competition.
It was disappointing, not very many contestants, it lasted only an hour and a half, the concession stand wasn't stocked. For the price we paid for tickets, not sure we will go back and we've gone every year they have had it for the last 20 years. They used to have a concert to follow, and didn't, but ticket prices were still up.
I wish the events wouldn't move so quickly!! An extra minute or two shouldnt make a difference.
Great night of watching cowboys cowgirls and rodeoing who’s it was like the old days river city round up. A little disappointed there was no merchandise no tshirts but I get it. We need more rodeo and country events in Omaha.
The only issue I had that was the concession closed way too early

I feel for the price of tickets the rodeo wasn’t that good. The local rodeo that we go to is better and more exciting. I will not be taking my family again.
This was at the last minute and I took my boyfriend and my little brother and I enjoy going to rodeos along with the two people I took with, I love how Ticketmaster makes it easy to get tickets at a wonderful rate. Also I have never been to the river city rodeo but I plan to go again!
The event was excellent. The Omaha rodeo was a great event with exciting entertainment. We would go next year.
Well the activities were very fun. Great to watch. However did not last very long. If I pay that much for a ticket i would like a much longer show. I felt that it was not worth the price of a ticket. Not sure i will be back.
Definitely didn’t get money’s worth for what we paid for tickets. They really rushed everything and it was pretty boring.
The rodeo itself was very enjoyable. Some very good talent!! Seats were comfortable and with the screen in the middle of the arena it was easy to see everything. The prayer openings at rodeos are always an inspiration to me. We did NOT care for the LOUD opening music prior to the rodeo. Perhaps because we are senior citizens, but the young people seated in front of us had earplugs!! Would be nice if that could be toned down a bit!!
When we got there our 12 tickets in the 2nd and 3rd row were ALL moved to various areas in the arena because our tickets had been given away to another function. They even separated a Married couple to separate areas in the arena! We paid $45 (plus fees!) to sit in $25 ticket areas! Concession stands all closed but ONE in the entire arena half way through the 1.5 hour rodeo and the beer carts closed 30 minutes into the rodeo (“because they had to close an hour before the event closed”) even the contestants were upset as they were going up to get a beer after performing and they were closed. Not a good night!
I enjoyed the rodeo for the most part, but the commentators did way too much talking. Sometimes talking while a rider was already starting his ride... missed a lot of things because of the banter with the clown and had some difficulty differentiating what or who they were talking about. It's okay to joke around, but not while someone is riding a bull!!
After a hiatus, the rodeo is better. More organized, faster paced, better graphics, better video...just a higher level of production. Time to start advertising this as a key stop on the road to the National Finals Rodeo!
I loved the River City Rodeo and will definitely go back next year. The tickets are a good value and the atmosphere is perfect. The entertainment is wonderful with high quality events. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves the Wild West, any professional sport, or just wanting to check out something new. This is about as good as it gets!
This has been a great event in previous years. but at only 2 hours, a lack of normal rodeo events, and no concert afterwards I feel pretty ripped off.
Great ,tickets alittle spendy..But great show! WILL be going again...
We had so much fun with our 3 kids. The kids had never been to a rodeo and the event was quick moving without a lot of time between events. This kept their interest the entire time. Tons of action with great seats. I only wish the tickets were not so pricey. The stands were quite empty, likely due to steep ticket prices. We Would have considered coming back for day 2 but not at the cost.
Some. performances were outstanding, some average, too many below average. Seat location excellent, however was totally uncomfortable since I had to share my space with person next to me. Made it a miserable night. Impossible to enjoy the evening. If I thought it would do any good, would ask for refund. PA system impossible to understand what was being said by announcer. Best part was tribute to the flag. Well done.
