Barnum & bailey bash not what expected

by Ja8098 on 11/4/12Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza - Wilkes-Barre

This was a very small circus show. 2 elephants, horses, dogs, 2 camels. No birds, tigers, lions, etc. The actors seemed to perform same stunts for a long period of time and it got very boring. They did hand out papers as we left to advertise their bigger circus coming in a few months. I was not aware that Barnum & Bailey had more than 1 show or I would have waited & purchased tickets for the different show.

    highly disappointed with the show

by mommaroetz on 11/3/12Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza - Wilkes-Barre

As a family who follows the Ringling brother's circus we were HIGHLY disappointed with this performance! The lack of clowns and animals was one.disappointment! The seceond thing I was highly apauled by was the strong man act. While your target audience is children how irresponsible was it to have someone not only lay on jagged glass but to more importantly get " run" over by a.vehicle. My 6 year old was so scared he wouldn't even look, my 3 year old was confused as why the.guy didn't die! This was a very bad act and not at all thought out! I hope next time.we.return to the circus if we do we do not see such senseless acts!

    Circus was very disappointing!

by bsunshine on 11/3/12Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza - Wilkes-Barre

I was very disappointd in the Circus - it was nothing like I remeber the Greatest Show on Earth to be - no clowms, tigers or lion,. There were some Elephants but only two ; and the acts were very short and not up the the standard I thought they would be.

    Not good at all

by Cupsmom on 11/3/12Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza - Wilkes-Barre

Very disappointed! Spent $90 & saw 2 elephants for a total of 6 minutes!! Only other animals were camels, horses, ponys & dogs. Only the camels were something we don't see everyday. 95% of the show was acrobatic, not what kids go to the circus for! I have been taking my boys for 9 years to this circus & this was just plain horrible. Will be the last year we go. DON'T waste your money on this show!!!!!! Extremely small & not man animals. No tigers!!!

I like how the kids can interact before the show! They do a good job of changing the theme and content every year so we can go to the circus every year and be entertained. Was not so impressed with the $$$$ spent on snacks, etc....

    A Great Circus

by Jimaycircis on 11/3/12Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza - Wilkes-Barre

We really had a great time, Upon arrival, the circus was smaller than we expected. However, it was the best corcus our family ever attended. Each act was well done. Tha animals great and the performance solid. Our daughter is still trying to get our dog to dance the conga line like the circus dogs.

circus is not what it used to be

by missingclowns on 11/3/12Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza - Wilkes-Barre

Only one clown and not much else! The main act was a strong man and lets face it...no one cared how strong he was. The show was boring!

Reat fun for the whole family!

by Primarypat on 11/3/12Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza - Wilkes-Barre

The tickets were reasonably priced. The pre-show was great fun for the kids. They were able to interact with the performers, try on circus clothing and take pictures. The show itself was one ring which made it easy to watch. All the acts were wonderful. We had a terrific time. I highly recommend it for all families. The arena staff were friendly and helpful. When they saw my father-in-law in a motorized scooter they advised where to go to change to handicapped seating. The woman at the desk was happy to change our seats.

    Barnum Bash

by 1RealityCheck on 10/23/12Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

My wife and I have taken the kids to the Ringling Bros. circus for the last several years now but this year was a disapointment. There was no parade of the animals and speaking of animals there were very few. There was only 1 ring instead of 3 like in the past. I will probably skip the circus next time. Even the kids were disapointed one even said that we should have went bowling at Bass Pro. This circus would still have been a disapointment with the tickets at half price.

Not at all what they advertised!

by Tamsuela on 10/17/12Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

I would like to start off by saying that there are 3 shows for Barnum and Bailey circus and please make sure you know what you are buying. The tv advertises tigers, clowns and other stuff that you will not see in this show! Then I bought my seat thinking I was in the middle of the 3 rings only to find out that there was only 1 ring and they put up a black curtain that the Peoria Civic claims they didnt know about. We were literally inches away from the curtain and people that were moved to other seats from the curtain had better seats than I did which I paid a premium price for!

Barnum and Bailey is not what it use to be. I was disappointed with how small the "greatest show on earth" is now. Also upset that my seats got blocked off and we had to hunt for seats, missing the first part of the show.

Worst experience with a show ever!!!

by IncognitoLisa on 10/16/12Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

I had not been to a circus in years. I wanted to take my 4 year old grandson. I did and will never take him again. When we were walking to the car he asked me, "Momo, why did you take me to see that"?...That are the exact words out of a 4 year old childs mouth. That says it all.

Ringling Brothers 'Gold Tour' not what I expected

by Emily61571 on 10/16/12Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

I've seen many Ringling Brothers shows. I am usually very excited, thrilled and amazed at the acts that Ringling offers. The circus at the Peoria Civic Center was NOT exciting, amazing or thrilling. The performers were very limited in numbers, there was only 1 clown, 1 clown acting guy (no clown makeup, just nerd dressed), only 2 elephants, no flying trap acts, no tightrope acts, no tiger acts. Only 1 ring circus, not its usual 3! The only reason it even got 2 stars from me was because the performers were, tho small in numbers and limited resources, were good at their acts. The animal trainer was the one and only trainer-she was wonderful but not as exciting with only 2 elephants and a dog act (tho dogs are cute). I was sad that the clowns that are usually such a huge part of Ringling were nowhere to be seen. I paid $16.50/ticket (9 tickets total), 5x$12 Cotten candy, $7x 2 for parking and felt like I'd paid for the all out SHOW. I hadn't realized the circus had a greatest show on earth version and a backyard circus version. Again, performers were good but given the resources the other groups are given, they would be unforgettable.

    better last year

by uncledoo on 10/16/12Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

there seemed to be something missing from this show the ticket price was definately a fair deal.....but it just seemed to be a lack luster show. the three girls announcing and singing were often out of sync with each other and poorly mixed through the house sound. overall ..... they have done better shows

    Circus not worth the money.

by KyanCody on 10/16/12Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

The acts in this year's circus were lacking. I haven't been to this for approximately 10 yrs and the types and number of acts back then were phenominal. The acts I saw were not worth the cost of the tickets.

More of a Bash, than a Circus

by Chuck61554 on 10/16/12Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

There were no lions, tigers, monkeys, and only one Circus Clown for the entire arena. The show was entertaining, but not what one would expect with the name Ringling Bros. Circus. I've had at least two friends tell me that last year was much better, but I didn't go last year, so I can't relate. I was very disappointed in this show. I was entertained, but left feeling like a lot was missing.

    Astonishing performances!

by JaidensGrandma on 10/16/12Peoria Civic Center - Peoria

This circus was absolutely wonderful. We had never seen camels before and we were amazed. The perfomances were breathtaking and very entertaining. My granddaughter is seven and her favorite was the strength and flexibility couple! Awesome from beginning to end!
