I have attended many of Richard Nader's concerts in the past. This one was one of the Best in a number of years. The line-up was outstanding! The audience was active and singing with the groups. They interacted with the crowd, which added to the fun.
Their were times I am certain their was lip syncing going on by several groups. The bands listed did not all perform; no mary wilson nor mel carter. No mention of the absence of the groups either. The duprees to deliver and do enjoy the jackie wilson tribute!
As far as energy and voice Gene Chandler and Jay Seigel and the Tokens stole the show ,,,,,,and the show needs a longer set by the Duprees
MANY GROUPS WERE FEATURED. EACH PLAYED A GOOD AMOUNT OF TIME. WAS WELL WORTH THE PRICE OF ADMISSION.
The pre show the car show and the actual show was unbelievable! A lot of fun! Very inexpensive compared to other shows we've seen. Looking forward to next year.
This was my 2nd Richard Nader Doo Wop show at the Izod Center. This show was good. Last year's show was better. Bring back Jay Siegel's Tokens, Gene Chandler and Jay Black.
I am just amazed every year that I attend the DooWop show. Of course, I don't think it was their best show but I truly enjoyed it. I believe the men and women in the show are extremely talented; no matter what the age, they still have wit and charm; they are swift on their feet and have some great moves and I like the way they involve the audience in their musical selection. I truly had a great time and will attend next year on June 6th!
THE SHOW WAS FANTASTIC. WE ALWAYS FOLLOW DOO WOP. only problem was seats do not have handrail going up or down.
THE SINGERS SANG WELL CONSIDERING THEY ARE NO LONGER YOUNG CHICKENS.. LIKE THE SHOW BUT DID NOT LIKE THE FACT THAT THE SINGERS DID NOT SING TOWARDS MY DIRECTION VERY MUCH. I WAS IN THE FIFTH ROW FROM STAGE BUT THE BAND WAS BETWEEN ME AND THE STAGE. I FELT MOST OF THE SINGING WAS DONE TOWARDS THE OTHER THREE AREAS OF THE STAGE AND NOT TOWARDS ME BECAUSE OF THE BAND...THE SINGERS COULD NOT SING TO THE AUDIENCE BECAUSE OF THE LOCATION OF THE BAND. MAY WANT TO REEVELAUTE IN THE FUTURE... OTHER WISE WAS HAPPY WITH THE SHOW.
They all sounded great! And put on a great show.I will be going to next years show too.
Had a great time, music brought back old memories.
Another fine show produced by Deborah Nader, all the acts were excellent, with particular fine performances by Tommy Mara, The Belmonts, and Larry Chance.
The 25th DooWop show was really great. Lots of groups, lots of great sounds! Just wish each group had a little more time on the stage.
Great performances all around, especially The Dubs, Tommy Mara and the Crests, Jay and the Americans, The Capris, among many. Can't wait for next year's concert on June 6.
I have been a fan of doo wop since I was a child. I brought my 14 year old son and 18 year old daughter to the show and they loved it! At first I thought they would be bored with their father's "old man music". I was totally wrong; the kids loved the show. They can't wait to go to another one. We plan on attending next year's concert.
The event was well organized. Car show, accapella groups. all the acts were great and to top it all...i finally got to see my favorite groups of all time... the Duprees, Jay and the Americans and the Mello-Kings!! Looking forward to the next show!!
Excellent show. Cannot wait for next years. Thank you Debbie Nadar for keeping up this tradition.

The show was good the Chantels were great. The Crests did a good tribute to Johnny Mastro. The Belmonts and Jay and the Americans were also very good.
They were all great, especially the lead singer, Wayne Smith. He blew the house down. A powerful voice.
