Sorry I went too late, but it was nice to see and hear that he still got it.

    Absolutely terrific!

by LostHeart on 8/15/09GLASS CACTUS NIGHTCLUB - Grapevine

This was by far one of the best concerts I have seen in my lifetime (and that's a lot of competition). Beautiful, true vocals and excellent instrument skills. The harmony of these two friends is just perfect and the close relationship they have and the mutual respect for each other's talent just tops off the performance. The venue was fabulous! I will be watching for other events at the Glass Cactus!

Richard Marx and Matt Scannell - A Perfect Blend

by FortWorthTXFan on 8/15/09GLASS CACTUS NIGHTCLUB - Grapevine

We enjoyed this performance immensely. A very intimate relationship with the audience was provided in the setting of this smaller venue, the Glass Cactus Nightclub in Grapevine, Texas. Two multi-talented singer/songwriters, two guitars and one keyboard set the stage for a perfect evening. You were in witness of the special friendship Richard and Matt have on a personal level as well as their talents, individually and combined, in songwriting and singing. Their interaction with each other on the stage just added to the performance. The collaboration with Vertical Horizon's Matt Scannell is a winning combination. Their voices compliment one another on the duets and do not disappoint when performing the songs we all know them for.

    Richard Marx was Exellent!

by nadsmith on 8/13/09Club Regent Casino - Winnipeg

This was an excellent show. You can always count on Richard Marx to put on a great show and sing all the songs you came to hear. There's so much thought put into every song arrangement. He sings all his hits plus a couple new ones...but doesn't over do it on the new ones (which is too bad, cause some of us really really enjoy the new music!). The crowd was pretty good...not a great place to stand and have a party as Club Regent is all tables right against the stage. He got along well with the crowd and his personality shined through his humor and his song. The sound at Regent Club in Winnipeg is horrible. you don't get the full arrangement of the songs nor can you really clearly hear the artist....which was a downfall I can't say enough how great the show was....and he always gives more than 100%!

    Richard Marx

by Bebop on 8/12/09Club Regent Casino - Winnipeg

Richard Marx put on a great show. He still looks and sounds great. He sang all of his hits - the best songs, for my taste, were the songs sung playing his acoustic guitar (less band and more vocals). His vocals are still great. Great show all round, and we really enjoyed his sense of humour.

    Richard Marx still has it!

by RStar on 7/30/09Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - Bow

We saw him live at the Bow theatre but only bought the tickets after seeing him at the River Rock in Richmod, BC Canada the month before. The Canada show was so amazing that we had to go again. Not only is his voice still crystal clear but he can still hit the high notes. He is truly an engaging individual. He chats with the crowd, tells interesting and funny stories. He is a fantastic lyrisist. I particuarly enjoyed that he played/sang the song he wrote with Keith Urban (Better Life). Not many people realize the Keith Urban connection. I love Keith Urban also so Richard doing that song just made the night that much more special. The other great thing is unlike a of other artists from the 80s he obviously lead a good life and kept his looks as a resutl. He's still a doll. If you even like his music a little bit, you would find it worth your time and money to give him a try :) He is worth every penny and I will definitely go see him again.

    Richard Marx was excellent

by Concertogo on 7/23/09Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - Bow

I couldn't call myself a fan of Richard Marx, but after the concert, I can say, I'm now a fan. The smaller venue made the cozier atmosphere, which described his concert and the man himself.

    Now and Forever

by Martie on 7/20/09Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - Bow

We had a fantastic time, have loved Richard Marx since I met my husband he was singing Now & Forever at Kareoke night when I first met him and I have loved Richard Marx ever since always play his cd and it reminds me of when we first got together sitting on the deck overlooking the water and just getting lost in the music so it was a terriffic time for us to hear him live and remember the good times past.

    Richard Marx is HOT

by Pattyliscious on 7/19/09Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - Bow

I went and saw Richard Marx in Bow Washington at the Skagit Valley Casino, Had no idea how intimate this concert was. For the first time I got a front row seat and could not take the permanant grin off my face. He still has it. The looks, the charm and most of all the amazing talent. I saw him years ago at the Puyallup fair. Had to drag my hubby to the concert. At the end of the concert he told me how much he thought Richard had talent. Hubby being a musician himself and onesided type of music that was a total compliment from the soul. Any ways if my exhubby could see Richard now he would say he is awesome and even better yet. I did like that fact that he communicated to the audience and it just felt way more that just a performance. It was down right the best show I have ever been to. The music you write and the voice you have will always stay with me forever. I will always come and see you Richard when you pass this way in the beautiful state of Washington. Thanks for coming back into my life with your music

    just like I remembered

by deeboz on 7/16/09Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - Bow

We enjoyed this very much. Richard Marx sounded even better than when he was at the top of the charts. He infused his sense of humor with the music, told some great stories, and entertained the small but lively crowd.

    Richard Marx is Back!

by NoMoreThunderAndLightning on 7/15/09Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - Bow

It has been a LONG time since Richard Marx has toured. We last saw him in about ten years ago. He is just as personable and down-to-earth as ever, while still being a bit of a "bad boy." This show was a good mix of his older material and some more-recent efforts. The showroom at the Skagit is a smaller venue, but the acoustics were acceptable, even at the edges of the room. Now that his sons are getting closer to full-grown, maybe he will tour more often?

Richard Marx - better than ever!!

by carrmos on 7/15/09Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - Bow

It was great to see Richard Marx in concert again after so many years! He put on an energetic show and had a great mix of his 1980's favs and his newer stuff. He looks and sounds better than ever! Who knew he was so funny?? I wish Richard was more social with his fans. It was a small venue (~400 people) and it would have been fun to get an autograph or have a chance to talk to him. We saw him in the elevator with his manager at the hotel but he wasn't in a mood to talk. Too bad - it would have been a dream come true! Otherwise, a great show and I would go again next time he comes to town. Hopefully it won't be 20 years from now...

All these years later, Richard Marx still sounds amazing! He was very funny and friendly with the audience, which I like in a performer. I would definitely see him again!

    Richard Marx never sounded better!!

by 1987fan on 7/14/09Skagit Valley Casino Pacific Showroom - Bow

If you stay a fan of someone long enough, the venues get smaller and smaller. My husband and I have seen him 5 times since 1987. Richard Marx and band never sounded better and we were privilieged to see him in both large venues and small.

Primo, Primo Primo! I enjoy him more and more each time I see him. New music was wonderful and going "back in the day" was heaven. Brought back some wonderful memories.
