    Great for the music fan

by giveup43 on 6/21/11Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at station square - Pittsburgh

Ribs On The River was a fun event and good opportunity to see some regional and local bands. As always, Kenny Wayne Sheperd was outstanding. I could see the band 100 times and still be entertained. My only disappointment was the lack of enthusiasm of the crowd. I couldn’t believe a majority of the people in the reserved seating section (up front) sat most of the show. C’mon!

KWS BAND always gets a 5 star rating...25+ times seeing them, don't ever think it will get old. It's an AWESOME show at a great price. Keep on rockin' Kenny and Noah. Looking forward to the new cd Aug 2. I will be right up front for all of the shows within 5hrs.

    KWS Rocks!

by Anonymous on 6/21/11Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at station square - Pittsburgh

Would have been really helpful to to know the band line up and start times. Everything that Ticketmaster and the venue posted stated that the event started at 3:00 PM. Turns out the first bands actually took the stage at 2:00 PM and KWS didn't take the stage until after 9:30 PM!!! I went there to see KWS not hours and hours worth of "up and coming" bands. Don't leave us guessing Ticketmaster, tell us the REAL time for the featured artist!

Correct times would have been nice!

by DKJLS on 6/21/11Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at station square - Pittsburgh

The tickets said Kenny Wayne Shepard at 3pm.At least a hundred others went by the tickets and got there for a 3 o'clock show.He didn't play until 9:30pm.We left at three and will never go back. All blacktop parking lot, very hot, cheap plastic chairs. Not very well set up or organized.Looked like a cheap carnival operation.

    Ribs on the River 2011

by iluvblues on 6/21/11Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at station square - Pittsburgh

This was an awesome concert from start to finish. All the bands were great. Jimbo and the soup bones were so funny. What energy he brings to the show. Jill West and the Blues Attack always brings a very professional performance. Of course Kenny Wayne Shepherd was totally the best!!!!! Thanks Pittsburgh for providing a really good day!

    Great Performance AS Usual...

by EKingPgh on 6/20/11Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at station square - Pittsburgh

Kenny and Noah are equally talented in my view and in my opinion should share the band's headliner banner. It was a huge bonus to see Double Trouble's Chris Layton behind the drums! The performance was completely worth it. My only gripe is that they didn't play Deja Voodoo! I thought for sure they'd return for a finale with Deja -- but then the roadies started pulling wires. Aside from my favorite KWS tune being skipped, I"ve got to say that I enjoy every performance they give. And Noah is every bit the performing talent as Kenny. There was a performance issue with the monitors -- but the crowd could not tell. Great job guys! And good luck keeping your father-in-law in check Kenny! You're a hell of a lot more rational and mature than him. I hope you guys return again this year for the Pgh Blues Fest1

Kenny Wayne Shepherd was a consumate professional!

by rockandroller72 on 6/20/11Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at station square - Pittsburgh

Kenny Wayne put on an a superb show! The Trib Media stage was excellent. We were into the parking lot and out quickly. So why 3 stars? All of the seating that was available to sit down and enjoy the ribs was taken up by the deadbeats that didn't want to pay for a seat and more than likely didn't have the money to buy the ribs. If I go to this event again I'll eat before I arrive.

Bought tickets, said Kenny Wayne Shephard concert was 3 pm..got there and there were ten others before him! He didn't come on till 930 pm!! Didnt even bother staying! There was nothing to do for 6 hrs especially after eating!! Just bad! Ticket master should have advertised the other shows before Kenny!! And then I paid 33.00 on line for 2 gen adm tickets and at the door they sold for only 10.00/each! I will rethink before I book through TM again!!!

    Ace is Back!!!

by JBeanie on 6/20/11Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at station square - Pittsburgh

Awesome set list. Ace is back and in top form!!! He's singing well and playing better than I've ever seen. Even better than the last tour which was pretty darned good. His band is great too and they are doing a ton of songs that you wouldn't imagine they'd do....Love Her All I Can, Strange Ways.....just to name a couple! If you love Kiss and have the opportunity to see this show, you shouldn't pass it up!

    Ace Rocks the three rivers

by RockingPenguin on 6/19/11Trib Total Media Amphitheatre at station square - Pittsburgh

Ace started out with "Rocket Ride" and tore through over 20 songs including 2000 man, snowblind, new york groove, parasite, rock soldiers, trouble walking, she, and a blistering "shock me" where he still has the smoke coming out of his pickups. Ace was never a interactive kind of person with the audience. He just plays his ass off. Good show with a great band backing him up. His one guitarist did all the Gene Simmons stuff while his drummer did the Paul Stanley stuff.
