I thought that I would not every see my loves the Isley Brothers I had a chance 10 years ago but I had to deploy to Iraq.
The atmosphere was amazing. I love everything and he did a good job.
The purpose behind the event was wonderful. I believe that we should honor our leaders. All performers were excellent. The issues wasn't with the singers, the audience or even the venue. The problem was with the sound system. Joe was amazing, but could have been mind blowing if we could have heard him. He even had to stop several times and speak directly to the sound people.
Rhythms of Triumph should have included "awards show" in the title as that was what it was with entertainment included. Tiquilla Wilson performed two gospel songs, Isaac Carree followed with three songs ( I really enjoyed "Clean This House") with awards being presented in between. When featured artist Joe came on stage things really fell apart. You could not hear his vocals and it was painful just hearing the drums and instruments. It was embarrassing to listen too and the entire stage set-up looked like a high school talent show with problems with mikes and sound from the beginning. We left at the start of his third song. Very disappointed. The venue is also looking very worn with wallpaper peeling off walls and other wear and tear evident.
Joe put on an awesome performance. I was on front row, so I could hear him. I known there was some issues with the sound system. I would love to see him again....
Joe was absolutely wonderful, however the sound crew sucked! You couldn't really hear him, and in the middle of his show that tried to fix the sound however it really wasn't any better.. I will definitely see JOE again but doubt if it will be at the war memorial auditorium
Joe was a great performer despite the problems he had to perform through. Greensboro War Memorial Auditorium's sound system is horrible. So much so that the audience began chanting, "we can't hear you." He stopped his performance in an attempt to check/correct the sound; unfortunately, there was no improvement. He came off stage to the floor in hopes to improve the sound, but that made it even more difficult to see him. It was not a good experience.
This concert was well attending. I felt since the sound could have been a lot better. The technicians appeared to have improved it as the show went on. I seemed a little short but when you enjoy a singer you wanna here more and more of it. Thanks Joe !!!
Very nice event. Chrisette Michele is a true artist.
I LOVED her performance! First of all she has one of the best voices ever. In addition to that she shared with us that she has a crush on her bandmate the guitar player! And she wrote a song for him and they performed it together. Their chemistry was electrifying! I wont be surprised if next year this time I hear they're engaged ;) Because of that I can't stop playing "Fair Lady" but my other favorite is "Pray Me Well" and I love her new single "A couple of forevers" It was a great night, I got to enjoy it with my best friend, we got all dolled up and had a blast! We didn't realize there would be awards given before her performance because it was a part of the black history month program. So next time we'll factor that into our planning.
My girlfriend and I went as our Valentine's Day Celebration. While I expected to just see Chrisette Michele, there was an award show first. Though the award show was awesome, it would've been better if they would have advertised it as an award show, featuring Chrisette Michele, instead of making some of us believe it was just Chrisette Michele. The concert was awesome though! We had great seats. I would definitely go back next year to see their featured artist. We were overdressed a bit, as lots of people had on jeans and leggings, but overall it was a great experience
I think the same amount of time the secular artist got, the gospel artist should have got too. It's a rhythm of triumph. 97.1 and 1510 is working together on this. One is not bigger then the other because God own both. And he giveth and taketh away. So, the artists need the same amount of time.
Best show to date!!! Chrisette blew the roof off!!
