Enigmatic L.A. based duo Rhye features the extraordinary contralto voice of Canadian Mike Milosh and multi-talented Danish instrumentalist Robin Hannibal—two artists who crossed cyber paths when one was remixing the other’s music.
The pair’s 2013 debut album, Woman showcased gifted song writing, breathtaking vocals and deft instrumental arrangements that combine to create a sensual blend of R&B influenced, deeply intimate music.
Though Hannibal does not tour with the live band, Milosh has assembled a cast of accomplished musicians to create an experience that brings Rhye’s music to life. Their first live shows in Australia are not to be missed.
This is by far one of the best live shows I have attended. The ambience of the Synagogue went really well with the music. Despite only having one record to their name Rhye gave an amazing performance, playing 7-minute rendition of Open, among others. It really was magical.
This was one of the best shows I've ever been to! Me and my 2 best friends sat front row right next to the lead singer's wife! The venue was a historic synagogue in DC and it was absolutely beautiful. The band members hung out with us afterwards and took photos and talked about upcoming shows. My friend actually got a set list from the bass player. It was a great show, a great band, and I'll go to see Rhye perform whenever they are in town.
