RHONDA VINCENT IN CONCERT:
From her days performing in her family’s bluegrass band The Sally Mountain Show to her celebrated solo career, singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Rhonda Vincent remains a talented fingerpicker with a voice of gold. The Wall Street Journal called Vincent “the new Queen of Bluegrass”, and it’s easy to why as she nimbly moves between banjo, mandolin, and fiddle at her dynamic live shows. Whether she’s crooning about lost love on “I’ve Forgotten You” or covering country classics like “Beneath Still Waters”, Vincent never fails to captivate with her poise, energy, and honey-toned voice on tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Missouri-born singer-songwriter Rhonda Vincent was born with bluegrass in her blood. A fifth generation musician, she grew up touring throughout the Midwest with her family’s band The Sally Mountain Show. She received her first snare drum at age six, picked up the mandolin at age eight, and in 1970 she recorded her first single just shy of her tenth birthday. After nearly two decades of recording and touring with her family, Vincent made her solo debut in 1988 with the album New Dreams and Sunshine. She released popular albums throughout the ‘90s but really hit the big time in 2006 when her record All American Bluegrass Girl topped the Bluegrass Albums Chart. Since then she has scored four more No. 1s on the chart including 2014’s Only Me, a critically acclaimed release that cemented her place as one of the country’s preeminent contemporary bluegrass artists. A veteran performer known for her warmth and grace, Vincent continues to awe every time she takes the stage on tour.

Rhonda had a fantastic show in Fort Smith and I really enjoyed it. I’m looking forward to seeing her Christmas show in December
We have seen Rhonda several times and this show was disappointing because the Blackwoods were on way to long---1 hour isn't the usual time for "warm up" act. Then when Rhonda did do her show, we felt she lacked her usual energy and her selections weren't really great--no Cannon Ball Express or Muleskinner Blues just to name a couple. She also invited the Blackwoods back for the ending--again disappointing. Maybe because it wasn't her usual "sell out" she felt the need to shorten her show and energy. Will most likely see her again, but hope there will be an improvement.
Rhonda Vincent is a class act performer. The Blackwood Quartet was a great show also.
We had great seats The sound systems was fantastic
This was a great show. You sure do have a great place. Parking was good and the seats were wonderful. It was well worth the 125 mile drive. I would like to come back sometime if l am still able. Thank you very much for the great Saturday night. Just wished it could have lasted linger.
What a great concert! My friends and I had a blast. I would encourage anyone to attend at least one of the Bluegrass Nights at The Ryman shows to make their summer complete!
Rhonda and the Rage have to be one of the best, if not the best Bluegrass groups around. Will try to seen them again. The Ryman, with all it's history, is a wonderful place to see and hear a show. If you haven't been there, make of point of going.
RHONDA VINCENT AND THE RAGE, ARE AND ONCE AGAIN TOP NOTCH PERFORMANCE, NOT ONLY DO THEY SOUND FANTASTIC, THEY INVOLVE THE CROWD IN ATTENDANCE. I'VE SEEN THEM AT FESTIVALS, SO THIS WAS NOT THE FIRST TIME, WHEN YOU SEE THEM AT FESTIVALS THERE ON THE STAGE ONLY FOR WHAT THERE TIME THERE SUPPOSED TO PLAY. WHAT A GREAT TIME I HAD, PLEASE RESCHEDULE THEM AGAIN!
Wonderful and up close performance by some of the most talented and professional musicians in Bluegrass. Thanks and well done !!!!!!!
Rhonda Vincent and her band put on a great show at the American Theatre in Hampton, VA. Small theatre that made the event up close and personal. Good quality sound at theatre. Seating a little tight but otherwise would highly recommend the venue.
Rhonda put on an awesome show. Everything about the show was great. The only complaint I would have is the venue, the seats are so small, it was not comfortable.
I can see why she earned a Grammy Award. Both her and her musicians are superbly talented. They performed for two and a half hours and kept the crowd hopping. Would I pay to see them again? ABSOLUTELY. I love her style of Bluegrass Music.
Gene Watson can still sing well . He was funny and entertaining . Rhonda Vincent and her band were GREAT ! Her voice is Powerful and has a lot of range . I think she can sing anything .
I am noty a fan of bluegrass or country but my friend is and she loved the concert
Rhonda Vincent was awesome her band is very talented. Even after 54 years in the business Gene Watson puts on a great show.
I enjoy Rhonds's singing and she and her band are great entertainers.
I thought the show was wonderful. We had a great evening with you.
Rhonda and her band put on a great show. They truly love what they do and it shows in their performance. The venue was perfect, and the staff went out of their way to accomodate everyone. We look forward to coming back to the Center to see more of our favorite entertainers.
