    Respect - Go See It!

by bisbee704 on 3/8/11Gordon Center for Performing Arts - Owings Mills

If you grew up in the 50's and 60's, or you just like music in general, do yourself a favor and go see Respect! It's a must for women...and not a bad show for men as well - my husband loved it too! The cast is great - the women are wonderful singers, and they really get into the songs. It's just a wonderful experience - we loved it!

Respect was a walk down memory lane!

by HCJfan on 3/7/11Gordon Center for Performing Arts - Owings Mills

It was very fast paced, the women were all wonderful in their parts. I'm sorry I didn't buy the CD because I can't stop the songs from running through my mind. It was a very enjoyable evening.

Great music - a good time!

by Lauraphan on 3/6/11Gordon Center for Performing Arts - Owings Mills

Show was a retrospective of the journey of women as told through music from the 1920s to the prersent. Featured great musicfrom Bill Bailey to I Will Survive to I Need a Hero. Music and dance numbers were great. Show was memory-inducing, thought-provoking and just plain fun. I'd see it again!

    Respect: Musical Journey of Women

by OBern on 3/5/11Gordon Center for Performing Arts - Owings Mills

This show was thoroughly enjoyable and uplifting for women who could relate to the issues and culture facing women through the years. Yes, we've come a long way from taking a back seat in society to becoming highly respected in business, medicine, science, education, etc., and still able to raise a family.

    Respect: Musical Journey of Women

by Anonymous on 3/5/11Gordon Center for Performing Arts - Owings Mills

A little bit of history, a lot of fun tracing the journey through songs throughout the years. Thought it was a little heavy on portraying men in general as bad guys who oppressed women for too long. But overall, performances were excellent and it was a very enjoyable show. It certainly evoked many memories from my own childhood and teen years. My companions and I had some great discussions afterwards as well. Would definitely recommend it to friends.
