Cabaret
by Anonymous on 9/26/11Ralph Freud Playhouse - Los AngelesI was disappointed with the level of creative guidance - the direction and the choreography were at a high school level - Cabaret is not a "cute" show, as reflected in the overuse of the"charleston" in most of the numbers. The lack of chemistry between Sally and Cliff killed the core of the show - it felt as if th actors were in two different shows but sharing the same stage. We stayed because of the touching, skilled performances from Fr. Schneider and Hr. Schmidt. The highlight was definitely the all female orchestra of excellent musicians.
