BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Red Sun Rising was formed in Akron, OH in 2007 by vocalist Mike Protich and guitarist Ryan Williams. The band spent several years building a fanbase with extensive regional touring, and in 2010 they released two full-length records -- an eponymous debut album and a sophomore effort titled Making of Kings. Their straightforward hard rock sound resonated with listeners, drawing them out for national touring that further fueled their popularity. The band's rise continued in 2013 with The Fix EP and the release of their third LP Into Forever, another uncompromising slice of pop and metal-tinged rock. Red Sun Rising has yet to secure major label backing, but they hardly need it -- their resourcefulness, dedication, and inimitable live performances already have them well on their way to mainstream success.
