Cali-Reggae chillers Rebelution have had audiences feelin' irie ever since their 2007 debut Courage to Grow became a West Coast favorite for its unique blend of beachy grooves and socially conscious lyrics. Since then, the band's star has continued to rise with two No. 1 records on the Top Reggae Albums chart and a host of high-profile festival appearances. A favorite with audiences for their extended jam sessions and impressive solos, Rebelution promises even more good vibes on their 2014 tour dates with Cris Cab and Common Kings.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Hailing from the sleepy beach city of Santa Barbara, California, Rebelution formed just a few short steps from the beach — a fact that's reflected in their laid back brand of Reggae fusion. After rising to local success with tireless touring up and down the California coast, the band made their album debut with 2007's Courage to Grow, which was selected as iTunes Editor's Choice for Best Reggae Album of 2007. 2009 follow-up Bright Side of Life would prove an even bigger success, landing at No. 1 on the Top Reggae Albums chart and leading to slots at festivals including Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. With a new album in the works and extensive tour dates in 2014, Rebelution is poised to achieve even greater heights.

For playing in a much smaller venue last time they were in Columbus, they was quite the crowd at the Newport Saturday night. This was my first time seeing them live, and will definitely not be the last. Fantastic show from start to finish, and the finale included almost everyone from the two opening acts on stage as well. Met a hot girl on the dance floor which didn't hurt either.
All the bands had a great live sound, very professional sound. The atmosphere was peaceful and a lot of fun. Rebelution bringing members of the other bands throughout was done very well and added a lot of excitement. The encore was phenomenal when everyone from every band had a jam session, absolutely unforgettable.
Rebelution was great. so were zion-i and soja. fun night :)
All three shows/bands played a awesome show. great place for the concert. all three bands did a awesome job of getting the crowd into it. loved every minute.
The show was amazing, I already enjoyed listening to Rebelution's CDs but seeing them in concert was a whole other experience. The opening acts SOJA and Zion I were also really good. Would love to see them all again soon.

Can you say....GREAT SHOW!! These guys surely know how to get the crown pumped! It was a sold out show and these guys rocked the showbox.....I will definitely see them again and recommend them to others!
This was handsdown the best concert Ive seen at the showbox ever. Zion I started it out great with fresh beats, Soja kicked it into another gear, and Rebelution blew the top of the Showbox. Great music and a cool atmoshpere makes for an unbelievable night!!!
by far the best concert i have ever been too. been too many reggae concerts as well as many other dance events.. and this was hands down the best show.
I was shocked at the Rebelution performance last night. I heard of them from a friend but didnt think very many people knew of them, but the whole place was into them. They stole the show with a great performance. The show was unforgettable and I will hopefully get to see them again in the future.

It was my first time seeing rebelution live. I didnt know what to expect. The first act opening up was ZION I who i have never heard of before but now am listening to =] followed by SOJA. Soja was amazinggggg!!! I love them now, got them on repeat. They are good live. And no way to end the night with rebelution! Overall I had a great time except it was crowded and was getting a little caustrophobic i know i misspelled that.
