About

Country crooner Randy Houser may have started off in the music industry as a songwriter, but now the Mississippi-born musician focuses more on belting out the tunes at arena concerts nationwide. Houser has unveiled three studio efforts to date, beginning with his 2008 debut, “Anything Goes.” The title track, which the musician performed on the “Late Show with David Letterman” ahead of the album’s release, garnered attention instantly and was quickly followed up by his second popular single, “Boots On.”

His 2010 sophomore set entitled “They Call Me Cadillac” contained two charting singles, “Whistlin’ Dixie” and “A Man Like Me,” while his most recent album, “How Country Feels,” has already spawned three. The early 2013 release peaked at No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and Independent Albums charts and features co-writing credits by other country ticket sellers like Lee Brice and Zac Brown.

Houser’s own writing credits can be found on Trace Atkin’s “Honky Tonk Badonkadonk,” Jesse James’ “My Cowboy” and “Back That Thing Up” by tour mate Justin Moore.

Randy was good, venue could improve.

by Thenuge71 on 1/26/13Mercury Lounge - New York

I think that Randy and his band sounded good, but I don't know for sure because it was much too loud for this venue. Not sure if that was Randy's fault, or that of the Mercury Lounge. The volume level would have suited a larger venue like the Beacon, but was way over the top for a small venue like Mercury Lounge. My ears are still ringing and the show was two days ago.

    A little slow

by Snab on 11/19/128 Seconds Saloon - Indianapolis

Played too much new stuff and slow songs, needed more upbeat sing a long music as that is what the crowd was up for that night.

    Wow!

by quaddipper on 11/9/12Crown Theatre - Fayetteville

What a voice and stage presence. I must admit my real reason for attending this event was Rodney Atkins and Jana Kramer. Boy, was I in for a surprise. It was apparent from the very first time Randy sang that by far and away he had the greatest voice on that stage. I believe all the other artists recognized this and they were just as awestruck as I was. Really surprised he isn't a bigger presence on the Country scene. I can't wait to see him in concert again and hope he comes back North/South Carolina real soon. He would be a terrific show at the Myrtle Beach House of Blues....

    by pizzaboy105e on 5/30/11Showcase Live - Foxboro

Great show! Played for an hour and a half or so. Very involved with the crowd, talking with people between songs. Doesnt let the politically correct people hold him back and tells it like it is!

Randy is a wonderful singer, probably the best concert I've been to. He doesn't stand up there and cuss and he seems to appreciate his fans!!! I could listen to him all night!!!! Dang I didn't want him to leave!!! I can't wait to see Him again.. Oh! He needs a bigger t-shirt selection for women.
