About
The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes are a Minor League Baseball team located in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Founded in 1966, they play in the California League, which is a Single-A classification league. The team's colors are royal blue, heather and white.
The Quakes play their home games at LoanMart Field, which seats just under 6,600 fans. The stadium was originally named "The Quake" after a vote, and was nicknamed the "Epicenter." Construction for the stadium began in late 1991, with opening day taking place nearly two years later in April of 1993, with the Quakes winning their first game against the High Desert Mavericks.
The Quakes have had several notable achievements throughout their history. They have won three California League championships, in 1994, 2015, and 2018, defeating the Modesto A's, San Jose Giants, and Visalia Rawhide, respectively. The team has also been affiliated with several major league teams, including the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Chicago Cubs, the Los Angeles Angels and the San Diego Padres. The Quakes have had several notable alumni who have gone on to have successful careers in Major League Baseball, including Mike Trout, Corey Seager, and Cody Bellinger.
