    Rain was amazing

    by lgordo1 on 4/16/12Wilbur Theatre - Boston

I went with my 2 daughters, one who was born in 1978, the other in 1995 so we had three generations so to speak and it was absolutely the best. At first I thought the tickets were a bit high, but after being at the show it was so well worth it. we had great seat and I think anywhere you sat would be a good seat. Everyone who worked there were very friendly and helpful. We had the best time!!!!!!!!!!! The crowd really got into it and the Band made you feel really welcome. I loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    RAIN brought back good memories

by BeauGeste on 4/16/12Wilbur Theatre - Boston

I was in high school in the early 60s and college in the late 60s, so the Beatles were one of my formative bands. I own every album (now every CD). RAIN brought back much of the good music and good times. They are not the Beatles. It is actually jarring for them to have some facial resemblances. They did play well and the music cannot be beat.

    Nostalgia in stereo.

    by Fanfromthe90s on 4/16/12Wilbur Theatre - Boston

I came to the Beatles late. I was hooked in the late 90s after watching their "Anthology" documentary, which seems to have been designed in part to pique the interest of younger generations like me. Ever since, I have noticed how pervasive their musical innovations have been. So my interest in the Beatles and their music has always been keen but academic. Going to see Rain changed all that. For the first time, I felt a kind of power in the music that I had not before. Live voices, the use of authentic instruments (especially for the rollicking tunes from the early period and for the introspective songs from the late period), and the uncanny mimicry of each of the Fab Four's gestures made the music come alive for me in a way it had never before. Even more powerful was the audience's reaction. The 60-70 year old fans who dominated the crowd became, in front of my eyes, young again. Flashes of sheer joy and promiscuousness shone on their faces. Tears of nostalgia streamed down their cheeks. Unlike for me, each of the songs brought back to them real memories from lives lived long ago. It was a privilege to experience something of the Beatles with fans who had come of age to their music during the most interesting and intense of times. Many thanks to Rain for making such an experience possible.

Great hearing the old Beattle songs again!

by Anonymous on 4/16/12Wilbur Theatre - Boston

We really enjoyed the show! We went to the matinee show. I liked the way they went through the different albums. The visual on the screeen was great! I think there was too much lipsinking. It kind of surprised me, at one point the "Paul" Beattle was still oooing even though he had stepped away from the mike.

    Rain Forever!

by DoctorDuck on 4/16/12Wilbur Theatre - Boston

It was a fabulous show. Obviously, the music was great but the musicians were very gifted and they seemed to really enjoy performing as much as the crowd. A fabulous show overall!

Rain brought sunshine to my day!!

by Fitmein on 4/16/12Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Rain brings you back in time...starting in 1964 when the Beatles made their debut in New York City to the late 60's. The Sargent Peppers Lonely Hearts costumes were incredible. The band member that portrayed John Lennon was incredible. I could have sworn John Lennon was reincarnated. A must see!!!!!

    Rain exceeded all expectations

by DBambi on 4/16/12Wilbur Theatre - Boston

This was much more than a band trying to be the Beatles. Their were videos from Ed Sullivan and others that gave a flavor for the events of the day that made the show more interesting. This was a a multi-media production that gave you a real interesting perspective on the Beatles. The music was great, got everyone on their feet and was simply amazing. What made the show special though was not what happened onstage but what the manager at the Wilbur did for us. When the show started my daughter noticed the audience was looking at something that we could not see because our seats were so far under the overhanging balcony. I quickly realized we were missing half the how and complained to the usher who sent me to the lobby. Prepared to do battle i approached the manager and he quickly asked if i would like to be reseated with a view, albeit upstairs in the balcony. I quickly agreed got the other 2 people in my party. While waiting for the new tickets to be printed we purchased 3 beers. After the first one was poured the keg ran out. The manager knowing we were missing told us to go our new seats and HE would deliver the 2 beers. We got to our seats with big smiles on our faces and the 2 cold beers were soon to follow.

An experience beyond just a concert

by Eiswater on 4/15/12Wilbur Theatre - Boston

I am 52 and clearly remember the Beatles "new" songs on the radio for the first time. They were an integral and happy part of my childhood. I haven't been excited as much as I was when I could bring my 19 year old daughter to the Rain concert. My daughter loves the Beatles and was as blown away with them as I was. What a truly loving and bonding experience we had like no other because of Rain. We promise to do it again in years to come if we are so blessed to have Rain continue with their outstanding show.
