    Raheem is the best!!!

by LLDC on 12/2/10Birchmere - Alexandria

This show was awesome plain and simple. From start to finish Raheem did not let me down. He mixed this set up from the tour show he just did a few months ago. I loved the set list of this show a whole lot more...he mixed in a lot of his older classics with a lot of stuff off the latest album. It was simply perfect. I totally love him and even after maybe 8+ years of seeing him live I still get excited. I still get those goose bumps when he starts to sing "Believe". Raheem is a testament to real music and live instrumentation...IT IS LIVE AND WELL. His band was great. Really just added to the amazing performance. I loved B. Kelly on the guitar! I also love the way he still comes into the crowd, and totally engages his fans. I love the fact that after every show he still meets and greets his fans. I mean really as a fan of an artist how could you not love an artist who does that???? Plain and simple until you experience Raheem live you havent seen a great show!

    Raheem Devaughn is the MAN!!!!

by Jerseygirl201 on 12/2/10B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Raheem Devaughn's performance at BB Kings was so much more than I expected. His show was so dynamic . He rocked the crowed from the minute he went on stage to the minute he left off. His band was amazing as were his back up vocalists. He engaged the crowd by performing his version of several soulful classics which made everyone go wild. I think the widlest moment was when he jumped off stage and began go around the club to various tables singing while standing on top of tables and chairs....at one point he even stood on top of the bar!!!!! His voice was strong and sensual at the same time. He left me feeling...a way..when I left there. I would love to see him perform again......He is simply amazing. I love you Raheem!

    Raheem was great!

by Turqoisebrown on 12/1/10B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

I have to say that I really enjoyed the concert. BB Kings is a great place to enjoy a concert.Almost anywhere you stand or sit is a good place in order to view the performer. Raheem had alot of energy and he knew how to rock the crowd. I really enjoyed the old school segment. Raheem's bass man really hit that Al Green riff just right. I saw Raheem @BBKings 2 years ago &he did more slow songs. I really enjoy Raheem's slow slongs but this concert was good as well.

    Raheem performance exceeds expectations

by Cristalll on 12/1/10B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

I was elated that although it was standing room early you had a great view of the stage no matter where you were. The show started around 8:20 so it was not a long wait for him to get on stage. He performed songs from all 3 of his albums. At one point he even went into the crowd during one of his songs and walked the entire venue. It was definitely worth the money to see him live he makes the show very intimate.

    Sensual Mr. Devaughn

by Jersey4life on 12/1/10B.B. King Blues Club and Grill - New York

Raheem's show was fabulous!!. From the awesome band, back up singers the artist he had on stage painting his portrait to Mr. Devaughn himself!! He performed both old and new songs as well as classics from Prince, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson etc! Very sexy and sultry show. In addition to panties one woman threw a bra onstage!!! He even came through the crowd singing!!! I would definitely recommend!!!

    Raheem gave a great show!

    by ADM65 on 12/1/10Birchmere - Alexandria

Seats up front, good wine on the table, and 'happy feelings' all around. Few hiccups in the sound system, but Raheem didn't let it stop him from coming off stage and grooving with his fans. Great show! Great venue! Love DJ Angie D's remix of "Guess Who".

    Never Disappoints

    by France25 on 11/30/10Birchmere - Alexandria

As always Raheem gave his audience a great show. Not only did he entertain but he gave a little wisdom as well. I am still thinking about how much of a good time I had. While I'm not fond of the Birchmere because of how close the tables are, I love the intimacy. I would not only attend another concert but I would recommend it to others.

    Raheem great show!

by Sanchezz on 11/30/10Birchmere - Alexandria

Raheem is great in concert. He sounds just like you expect him to, meaning some artists does not sound like what you hear on their CD. My only reason for not giving him 5 stars is, I am not totally satified when an artists has so many great songs of their own that could be performed but yet the elect to sing other artists songs. I don't understand that. There were several songs that I wanted to hear but didn't. If I am paying to see you, then its your music I want to hear, not Prince's, Smokey's etc. For an example, I saw Stevie Wonder's perform this year for the first time. I left there and couldn't think of one song of his that I wanted to hear that he did not do. That is what I call a beyond AMAZING show! There are very few artists that does that. I would love to see more. With that said, Raheem is very talented and an AMAZING ARTIST!!!!

    Raheem Devaugh

    by fan1000gisc on 11/30/10Birchmere - Alexandria

The flow of the show was nonexistent, moving from one song to another with no transtion. Songs ended and the audience was unsure whether to clap. The band was good but overpowered Raheem's vocals at time. His signature hits were not sung and elaborated upon and he did not stir the audience when he could have. Last, he spent 15 minutes singing old R & B songs instead of singing many of his songs from his 3 CDs. I am a big fan of his CDs and was greatly disappointed. His voice did sound good

    Raheem

    by Jamal3 on 11/30/10Birchmere - Alexandria

Raheem is my favorite performer these days, and he lived up to my expectations at the Birchmere Sunday night. He really hit his stride midway through the 80-minute set! It was my third time seeing him. The atmosphere at the Birchmere significantly added to the performance.

    Hype Crowd

    by Whatsthe411 on 11/30/10Birchmere - Alexandria

On November 28 in Alexandria, VA I attended the Raheem Devaughn concert at the Birchmere. The show started at 7:30p, but I did not arrive until 8p. The place was sold out and the crowd was hyped. Raheem is a native from the Washington, DC, and I did not expect less than a full house. He sung a lot of his songs from his first CD to the current CD. He also sung other artist's songs such as Marvin Gaye, Prince, etc. which was a nice change of pace. His stage performance is great and he interacted a lot with the crowd. The concert was good but short. However, I look forward to seeing him perform again. Raheem also has a artist who draws throughout his performance. By the end of the performance, the painting is complete! It's very unusual and amazing.

    Raheem did not disappoint!

by Anonymous on 5/19/10House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

The Neo-Soul Rock Star R&B Hippie Raheem DeVaughn put on a great show at the House of Blues. He performed a good mix of old and new songs and, boy, can he sing!! His band and backup singers were really good and he had a street artist with him on stage who was painting scenes from the concert throughout the performance, which was a cool addition to the overall vibe. The only downside was that the show started TWO HOURS late and only lasted about an hour and half. Not sure what the reason for the delay was - no explanation was offered - but it was a bit of a bummer to get there on time and then have to wait so long for such a short show.

    Neo Old School Soul

by SaltWood on 5/10/10House of Blues Orlando - Orlando

He is music in the physical. Demanding attention of the ears with range and pulling on your soul with lyrics. He is the past, current and future of music all in one.
