Raffi is a Canadian icon! This man should be celebrated for his contributions to social justice in addition to his extensive collection of original children's music. I enjoyed this concert as much as my daughter, who was thoroughly entertained and mesmerized by the songs she has grown up on.
This was a great show! Well managed, timely, secure and fun! Only downside was we didn’t see an option for a meet and greet and missed it:(. Otherwise it as great! Ticket processing smooth and easy! Orpheum is a coll historic venue. We saw Chick Corea 75th birthday concert there!
After growing up with Raffi’s music, it has been such a gratifying experience to share his timeless music with my children. The concert was great! Raffi played a lot of the classics and performed really well. I can’t believe he is almost 75 !!
Thank you Raffi for such a wonderful show! Enjoyed every minute of it.
Purchased top balcony, front row seats and couldn’t sit in them frightened that our two grandchildren would plummet over the railing! We asked to move and politely the concierge did find us other seats but we couldn’t sit together. Thank goodness we moved as Raffi had them up shaking the sillies out and swinging like the sun! What was MH thinking??? Raffi was okay. He sang quite a few of his new songs and there was much less audience participation during those and much more acting out from bored children! 🫤 overall I wouldn’t recommend Raffi even for the kids. It was mediocre!!! And why did he introduce his sister in the audience BTW??
The show was under an hour, which is probably for the best for small kids. He played all the hits. My son had a blast. I had a major problem with infants on lap needing a full priced ticket to go in AND this being listed no where on Ticketmaster or the venue website. It was pouring rain and parents had to stand in the box office line and pay almost 60 dollars for their 9 month old or 4 week old to come in - missing part of the very short show in some cases - to get this ticket. Organizers, if you don't want young children there, then state that. We've had the tickets for months and would have panned around that. If you are going to charge for a lap seat, charge a portion of the ticket, not a full priced one and indicate this in advance. Hopefully proceeds are donated to his foundation. If not, it's a cash grab. If so, it's a really disrespectful deterrent for parents that poorly communicated.
Absolutely LOVED the Raffi concert. My 2.5 year old was captivated the whole time! Raffi is an amazing performer and his love of music and child Honouring permeated with every note he sang. Thank you Raffi for devoting your life’s work to marking the world a happier place for the little ones. All the the baby and graduate Belugas thank you! I was disappointed that at the door they stopped me and demanded I purchase a ticket for my 5week old infant who I was carrying on me the whole time. When I initially purchased the tix on ticket master there was no option to purchase for an infant. Disappointed to have to leave the line, walk in the rain to the box office and purchase a $46 ticket for a 5 week old baby who was in my arms the whole time.
Raffi brought his "A" Game and pulled out all the classics. Kids loved it and most of the adults there were in a nostalgic daze as Raffi transported them back to their childhoods.
Fabulous venue and fabulous performance and engagement by Raffi, a living legend. An honour to be able to see him perform in person. Special to be able to share it with my daughter
Beautiful voice, beautiful message. Fun for the whole family.
Excellent concert. My only criticisms: scheduling it in the middle of the afternoon/nap time for most kids plus turning off all the lights in the venue… Zzzz.
Our family loved the show and encore. Raffi definitely knows his audience and recognized when the kiddos were hitting their threshold. We enjoyed singing along to our kids' favorite tunes, sang back to Raffi, and even got to hear an updated verse of "Baby Beluga" for us Beluga-grads. Raffi's show is a must see no matter where he performs.
Raffi is one of the few older singers in the business who still sound just the same as when they were younger. His voice is still distinctive and clear and is not a disappointment. Raffi could use a few props on stage to keep a young audience's attention. He said we would meet a donkey and he did have a song in which he brayed, but it would have been fun to have someone come out in a donkey costume! Just a few simple visuals. The meet and greet was a huge disappointment and my 3 year old grandson simply couldn't wait for the time it took for Raffi to talk to each family and shoot photos with them. This went WAY too slowly. A simple handshake and hello up front would have been enough. My grandson said all through the show that he wanted to go up and say hi, but after waiting half an hour after an already hour long show, he said he wanted to leave without going up so we left without doing what I paid for.
Wonderful concert! When Raffi came out and started singing my daughter and I both started sobbing and couldn't stop. It was a good cry, it really hit a nerve with us. I would always play Raffi tunes for my children while they were growing up and would take them to the concerts when he came to Seattle. Now my daughter is doing the same with her two little girls that we brought to the concert. It has come full circle.
It was a giant, happy, sing along. Raffi was funny, engaging, and sounded perfect. Our whole family loved it.
My children and now also my granddaughters have grown up listening to Raffi. To see my adult children and granddaughters singing along reliving memories was priceless. I wish he tours again soon.
Wonderful concert. All our favorites, and some new ones. Singing along all the way. Raffi has been with us while I raised my children and now my grandchildren listen to him!! I cried to think he is 70. I want him to be around for my great-grand children! He is a gift to all the youngsters of the world!!
After all these years Raffi's music is engaging kids and families. I loved watching all the littles around us dance and sing the entire concert....so much happiness! Thanks for continuing to tour Raffi.
My family absolutely loved it!! My daughters (who had seen Raffi when they were young), grandkids, and I were all there. We all danced and sang along with Raffi throughout the whole show! There was so much glee and laughter! I loved how multi-generational it was. Everyone around us were big families of grandparents, kids and grandkids. It was so much fun that we actually looked to see where he was going to be next so we could go again.
