About

Fans of Disney Channel's film “Teen Beach Movie” and TV series “Austin & Ally” may find a familiar face in Ross Lynch. Although Lynch’s acting career has raised R5’s profile considerably, this young group has been at it since 2009 and signed to Hollywood Records in April 2012. R5 consists of four siblings originally from Littleton, Colo., Ross Lynch (lead vocals/guitar), brothers Rocky Lynch (guitar/vocals) and Riker Lynch (bass/vocals), sister Rydel Lynch (keyboards/vocals), and best friend Ellington Ratliff (drums) who they met at a dance studio after relocating to Los Angeles. R5’s sound is fun and energetic with infectious pop beats and catchy melodies -- or as R5 promotes, the type of music you blast with the top down on a warm summer night. Their debut studio album Louder charted at No. 24 on the Billboard 200 and peaked at No. 2 on iTunes Pop chart in September 2013. The 11-track album includes the popular four tracks from their previous Loud EP as well as the lead single “Pass Me By.” Quickly becoming a Radio Disney favorite, fans have secured tickets to R5’s Dancing Out My Pants Tour and concertgoers are rewarded with exuberant pop performances. R5 will embark on their R5 Rocks the World Tour in 2014.

    R5 was absolutely amazing!

by xKMacx on 4/4/13Deluxe at Old National Centre - Indianapolis

R5 is not a Disney band like I think a lot of people think they are. They appeal to all ages and are phenomenal. I can't wait until they come back around so I can go see them again! They truly appreciate their fans and make sure we know that.

    Wrong place!

by LeftEarly1234 on 4/1/13House of Blues Chicago - Chicago

The bands playing were good but only stayed for 1 R5 song. Would liked to have stayed longer but after standing for two hours and holding an 8 year old so she could see a little something just couldn't take the torture any longer. HOB is good venue for concerts with less than 100 people, definitely not a good place for hundreds of parents with children. Will never attend a standing room only concert again. Didn't realize it when bought the tickets.

R5 was amazing! All of the band members can sing live and play their instruments well. They are very energetic on stage and they also interact with the audience. They are definitely worth going to see.

    Taylor Mathews stole the show!

by OldBassPlayer on 1/2/13Theatre of Living Arts - Philadelphia

So, it was a crazy Friday afternoon on south street in philly when these disney bands came to town. 1,000 screaming teenage girls got what they came for. Three excellent bands doing powerpop. Although R5 with Ross Lynch was the headliner, and they're coordinated dance moves set them apart from the other bands, the second band NameSake put in a powerful , if short, performance, without their equipment (due to car trouble). But, the opener Taylor Mathiews is the one to watch here. Excellent songwriting talent with nowhere to go but up!

R5 was great, venue was OK. REALLY could have done without all the opening acts. I realize we weren't probably the primary target audience (6 and 4 year old) but they love Ross Lynch from Austin and Ally and they know Riker from Glee so I took them. I was told R5 would go on at 4. Went down to the TLA at 230 to get in line. Taylor Matthews went on a little after 3 and was off a little by 4. I thought he was good - but a little harder rock than R5 and my girls weren't all that interested. They were then not happy when the next opening act went on at 4 (who was even harder rock). R5 didn't come on until almost 5. My little ones were pretty tired by then as we had been standing for 2.5 hours by then. They finally started perking up and dancing and singing along towards the end - we had a great view from the balcony. They were so tired they didn't even want to do the meet and greet - they just wanted to go home - and being already in the balcony we would have been one of the first ones. I would definitely take them to see again (we all enjoyed ourselves) but could do without all the opning acts or maybe have opening acts more along the same music lines as R5.

    R5 was awesome!! :)

by NiNinjaTran on 12/30/12Masquerade - Atlanta

R5 was amazing, everything a fan would expect from a performer, but the venue for the concert wasn't the best. It was quite run-down, even the sign was half broken. Other than that it was great, also it seemed as if more than half of the show was for the opening acts instead of R5 themselves and to add to the slight malfunctions. Although, it may be due to the venue. Other than the slight mishaps it was a awesome show! Will definitely see them again if they come back :D Oh yeah! Plus the autograph signing at the end was very thoughtful & nice of them when they had to leave for another show the next day.. :)

    R5 delivers for the kids!

    by Daddio30188 on 12/28/12Masquerade - Atlanta

R5 put on a great show for their fans in Atlanta Georgia. For a modest 15 bucks (crazy cheap) i took my smitten 15 year old daughter to see her favorite, not so well known Disney band. Although I'm not sure why? A professional, polished act. Great songwriting and performed well. An excellent show for the lucky 2-300 of us that braved the freezing cold (30degrees) and wind waiting outside. My daughter reports she was at the edge of the stage the whole show! Kudos to R5 for plugging in a show at Masquerade in Atlanta. Although a little risky for the band,,, this place is a long time landmark for Metal and Alternative Music bands. Definitely on the dark side and Dirty...Not exactly a match for the target audience Disney crowd. Would have gladly paid more for a cleaner venue, some lost sales here.. Overall a great value, show and memory for my daughter....R5 stayed after the show, signed autographs, talked to their fans, allowed pictures and made a great experience for their young fans. Hopefully we'll get to see R5's continued success and return to a cleaner venue next stop in Atlanta.

R5 rocks! No, seriously, they do.

by gleekywarbler on 12/28/12Masquerade - Atlanta

When you pay fifteen dollars to see a band signed by Disney, you can't expect very much. But when I say R5 blew me away, I really do mean it. I've never had so much fun at a concert. They have so much energy, and they love to talk to the audience. They're magnificent performers, and I would most definitely recommend this event to someone. The opening acts were wonderful, too!
