I've been to a lot of Quietdrive's Holiday shows and the Varsity did a great job hosting this year. It was a lot of fun, great atmosphere, bands rocked, reasonably priced drinks. No complaints here!
I'm an avid concert-goer, and my overall, bottom-line opinion was that Quietdrive was excellent live. I remember listening to their first CD way back in the day in my older brother's car and just jamming. They sounded excellent and in no way, shape, or form was I even remotely disappointed. Not having heard of All The Right Moves or My Lady Four before, I think that My Lady Four was pretty good (good enough for me to buy their CD) and ATRM was just average. Unfortunetely, I got there late so I missed Jamestown Story, but I heard great things about them from other people in the crowd.
How often do you find a cd where you love all of the songs equally? I feel this way about ALL of the quietdrive cds. But whats truely amazing is that they sound even better in concert which is never the case i find!!! This show had so much energy and the hardwork put into this truely showed. Afterall, it was sold out!! Totally amazing and worth every penny. I will gladly pay for every show and cd from here on out. Those boys are truely talented!
If you're looking for a good, fun show then you should definitely go see Quietdrive. It is clear that these men love music and what they are doing, and as an audience member that rubs off on you. The music is excellent and very well performed. Quietdrive fans will not be disappointed, and those looking for new music will be enthralled. Quietdrive is one of those must-see bands that concert-goers shouldn't miss!
It was a great show!! I thought Kevin would talk a lot more during the show but he didn't talk all that much, but it was a great show and I can't wait to see them again, they are very entertaining to watch!! LOVED IT, long set!
Great show! All the Right Moves and Take Cover rocked! Quietdrive is a lot of fun to watch live - high energy! They brought back the lead singer to Take Cover and did a very cool rendition of Elenor Rigby by the Beatles. It rocked!
Quietdrive NEVER disappoints!! I first saw them when I was a freshmen in high school and they blew my mind. Now I'm a senior and they still rock! They played a bunch of old songs and a few new ones. As always they make everyone feel like part of their family.
The event was awesome! Quietdrive never lets me down at a show. They had a great performance and the other bands were great too! The varsity theater is also a really cool venue, I had never been there and was impressed.
