My fiancé & I have been listening to these gents since high school in the 90's! Finally having the opportunity to see them live was everything we imagined it would be! They sounded phenomenal & the symmetry between them when they play is contagious! One of the best shows we've seen! We're definitely looking forward to seeing them live again! The Stone Pony is an awesome venue as always!
Quicksand was pretty good, though as usual at the Masquerade (and most venues) it was too loud. I like to actually hear the individual instruments as well as the vocals, but like almost all concerts I go to everything is turned up to 11. The new location of the Masquerade is similar to the old one on the inside, just less crappy, which is good. I just hate that you have to stand the whole time you're there. Oh, well...I guess I'm already an old grandpa at the age of 25.
Great show! In an intimate setting. Played songs from their classic albums. While mixing a couple of new songs from their upcoming album.
After 24 years, I finally got to see QUICKSAND. I've seen hundreds of shows over the years and this, without a doubt, was the best live show I've ever witnessed. Welcome back, QUICKSAND.
If you need to describe Quicksand live, you don't know Quicksand.
The venue was great, mainly because they let the crowd dive off the stage and surf. The soundman did a reasonable job and the show sounded good. The crowd was in utter disbelief they were seeing this band again after so many years. I'm glad I made the 4 hour drive to see them on a weekday.
Knew they were gonna kill it. They did. Its dead. They killed it. ;)
I absolutely Love Quicksand! this was an amazing Show! I hadn't Seen quicksand Perform in over 10 Years and it was as if they had Never Broken Up! I highly Recommend seeing Quicksand, If your are into shades apart, Shift, boy sets fire! aaaaaamazzing!
You know a show is gonna be awesome when there are no security guards protecting the stage. The band fed off of the crowds energy and fed them well. It was one of the best shows I have been to in years maybe ever!
Venue ruled, crowd ruled, and most of all the band ruled. So glad that these guys are back.
Quicksand was a 10 out of 10! Couldnt be any better!
So great to see this band playing out again, even if it is a reunion of sorts. I caught Quicksand around 1993-4 and they still sound as fresh as they did back then.
One of the best shows I EVER seen at the Webster Hall. Sound was just right. Not too loud to distort and loud enough to rock out too. Thank you for providing me with this amazing experience and memory. I will never forget this show.
Awesome show - sounds like they've been playing together all along.
Incredible. "favorite moment" : A girl jumped on stage and hugged Walter....he asked the crowd to "please, make sure you catch her"....she then proceeded to sing his lyrics right back to him, as if telling him she had been singing them like all of us for over 25 years alone. Pointing right at him...she ran off the stage and dove into the crowd, everyone cheered.....because we all knew what it meant to be there with these songs again.
Really great show from beginning to end. Close your eyes and you would swear you were listening to the albums, just better. They sounded amazingly tight and rocked out extended versions of some of the more popular songs. You could clearly tell they were having fun and into what they were doing. Played the more popular hits like Omission, Head to Wall, Fazer, Brown Gargantuan, Divorce and the Smiths How Soon is Now. even deeper cuts like Landmine Spring and Shovel. Two song encore.
Another incredible night of raw power and in-your-face music! Never get tired of listening to these guys. Pure positive energy and explosive set list! Hope they come back soon!
If you have never seen nor heard of this band, you should purchase a ticket and see them. Changed my life. Best rock band out there. Their sound system at Webster Hall was amazing. Set list was perfect. Best 1 hour and a half at a rock show.
Sound was amazing. Had not seen Quicksand since the early 90s.
