This show was nothing short of a dream come true. Thank you.
I never thought I would get to see Pulp live. Just being near a giant light up sign that said Pulp was enough to make me happy for days. Even though I would have been satisfied just being in the same room as them. they rocked it. Jarvis had so much energy and the crowd loved it. It was everything I could have hoped for.
Awesome show! Jarvis Cocker is amazing, funny and very energetic!
One of the best shows I've seen. So much energy and really entertaining. They played for 2 and half hours and it went by so fast...wasn't bored for a second. I just wish it wasn't so packed so I could have seen better...they need to play more shows!!
Pulp put on a great performance and that was very refreshing to hear.
After 14 years of waiting to see Pulp live (missed them the last time they came around here) my expectations for their live show was through the roof. And now finally have seeing them live it was more than anything I would have dreamed of. One of the best things to have happened to me in my lifetime. We all ended up meeting up in the year 2012, when we were all fully grown, never knowing that I would be married. I came to meet you Jarvis, but I didn't bring my baby(s). I love Pulp more than any other band and this was just a great full circle moment for me and reliving my youth and crazy times. Its a great reflection on life and what more there is to come. I so hope they decide to come out again, I know the fans here in LA are die "hardcore" fans and will welcome them "back to LA". With open arms. Thank you so much for the best evening ever!
I'd been waiting sixteen years to see these guys play live. Two days prior to this show, I saw them in San Francisco at the Warfield and was blown away. The Pomona show delivered just as much, in a different way. It was a more stripped down show, thanks to the Fox Theater's unimpressive lighting array, and it was almost like Jarvis & co. knew they had to compensate with an even more manic energy than the Warfield show. They played some obscure tracks like "Mile End" from the Trainspotting soundtrack, "His n' Hers," a track from the Sisters EP, and their second encore included a song that this die-hard Pulp fan had never even heard of: "Back in. L.A.," an unreleased punk track from 1984. All in all, an awesome show that will likely never happen again.
Jarvis is great - hasn't lost a step. Worth every penny!
Jarvis still knows how to run a show with humor and a whole lot of energy, and is very generous towards his Pulp fellow members and the crowd in this set of performances. I was satisfied in particular by his choice to go with the music that made the band popular, not the early or late stuff that didn't. It was also great to see so many younger people in the crowd, showing how well this sound and act has aged.
The concert was awesome. It really surpassed my expectations. The energy that the JC transmitted was amazing :)
Jarvis Cocker the lead singer is,in concert, a cross between Mick Jagger and John Cleese of (Fawlty Towers ) vintage. I just had to get that in there. What an amazing performance, a very solid band, intelligent and funny lyrics, fantastic sound and lights, nice and loud and you could still here every word Jarvis sang. This was a very strong showing in one of the best venues in the world. Hats off to every one and the energy involved to make this happen. Let's hope that Pulp continues their career both live and in the studio and I will be the first in line as soon as they announce their next show within 200 miles of NYC. In any case this show stayed with me just like a great movie that you just can't shake!
This show was one of the most amazing concerts I've ever attended! The band sounded great, the lead singer Jarvis has an amazing voice live. His energy was contagious and had me dancing through every song. Jarvis is not just a singer but an entertainer as well. He engaged the crowd before every song.
15 years ago, when I was still a teenager, I missed my chance to go to see pulp live. This whole reunion tour is liked a dream come true to me. Jarvis is very entertaining. His little dance to this is hardcore got all the girls sitting behind me screaming at the top of their lungs. Each song is introduced with a little story, it gives a little personal touch to the song. They played almost all my favourite song.
Pulp played an excellent show that bands half their age would envy.
One of the very best shows ever!!! Legendary! They played all their best, both new and old, and put on quite the performance!
What an amazing show! The perfect showman and the perfect voice performed an incredible set list. SO worth waiting all these years.
Jarvis Cocker made love to the stage ... literally.
Nothing short of brilliant. They played ALL my favorites and sounded exactly as they did years ago.
Jarvis Cocker seems to have more charisma as he ages, something I wouldn't have thought possible. I leaped into the air at every song as did everyone around me. We raised the rafters off Radio City and left wanting more even though he belted out eighteen dynamite songs in just under two hours. Pulp were at the forefront of an era in British pop music, "Britpop", but their music stands the test of time more than any of their nineties peers. I put that down to clever, pervy, nervy lyrics, the quirky disco beat, and the twitching, velvet-jacketed Jarvis who is just too much fun to watch. I loved it and hope it's a sign that they'll be returning to some new music in the near future. What Jarvis did next... Can't wait.
The place was beautiful, the sound was great, Jarvis was so funny and he sings still sooo well! I loved it! I would repeat it every night!!
