PRIEST are a Swedish synthwave trio composed of programmer/keyboardist Sulfur, and two former members of the Grammy-winning Swedish metal band GHOST â vocalist Mercury (formerly GHOST bassist Water) and keyboardist Salt (formerly GHOST keyboardist Air). Since 2017, the trio have been releasing their unique blend of dark electronic music thatâs steeped in cyberpunk and industrial. In 2021, they signed with Los Angeles-based indie label Cleopatra Records and released the 2022 album Body Machine. Produced by Simon Söderberg â who played guitar on and produced GHOSTâs debut studio release Opus Eponymous â the album features the singles âA Signal in the Noiseâ and âTechno Girl.â PRIEST embarked on their first-ever U.S. tour in 2022 with veteran electro-rockers Julien-K and subsequently joined Powerman 5000 on their summer 2023 U.S. tour. PRIEST have continued to release several songs, including âBurning Loveâ â the first single from their upcoming album Dark Pulse â and a cover of Depeche Modeâs âPersonal Jesus.â
