Perfect event for Lacrosse fans of any age

    by ZachB22 on 6/29/22James M. Shuart Stadium - Hempstead

Took my two sons -- aged 11 and 12 -- to their first professional lacrosse game and we all had an absolute blast. We saw two PLL games on Friday night and the atmosphere was awesome. Players signed autographs, there were giveaways, great merchandise, etc. I highly recommend you attend a PLL event when it's in your town.

    First PLL Game

by Greg on 6/28/22Homewood Field - Baltimore

Great atmosphere and great action on the field. No issues at all with Ticketmaster. The venue was great for the kids. Concession lines a little too long, but that’s life.

    Great experience!

by MJD in Maryland on 6/28/22Homewood Field - Baltimore

It was a close and exciting game that was decided in overtime. Players on both sides fought until the end. After the game, the players took time to sign autographs for the many kids that attended the game. Ryan Drenner signed my son’s jersey that we bought at the game —- it was a memory that my son will never forget! Thanks PLL for coming to Maryland and look forward to seeing you in the future! Special thanks to Ryan Drenner for making the night so special to my son!!

Had an awesome time at the game. Players went all out I was not expecting them to play that fast and hard. Great experience.

    Homewood Field is horrible

    by ATH3rd on 6/27/22Homewood Field - Baltimore

Homewood field: Parking was a mess, tiny little lots scattered all over the place, with a 15 walk to the field. Seating is old-school aluminum bleachers, fine for a kids soccer game but not 3 hours of lacrosse. Food service: two food trucks for the entire place, 20 minute line for $12 chicken tenders and limp fries. Never again.

    Had a blast

by Jeffrey on 6/27/22Homewood Field - Baltimore

The only issue was we had to really hike from the parking lot that accepted cards to Homewood. Would have been good to know it was essentially cash only parking.

    Game day experience lacking

by KC on 6/27/22Homewood Field - Baltimore

    1. Replays took too long. Game was restarting before they played at times. 2. Not enough concessions. Lines took at least one quarter of the game to get though. 3. Controversial goal called off with no replay in last seconds of game to tie. 4. I understand the history around JHU but let’s be honest, from a fan standpoint, this is not a good venue. Parking is terrible and confusing. No real tailgating except in random parking lots scattered around the area. No clear way to get from your parking lot to the game. If PLL wants to grow, games need to be held at places that have the infrastructure to handle the crowd. All of these are really embarrassing for a 5th year league.

Lax played at the highest level

    by Hound25 on 6/27/22Homewood Field - Baltimore

No doubt this is lacrosse played at the highest level. The talent arrayed on the field is amazing and the skill displayed in incredible. I love the fact the refs keep the flags in their pocket which enables the game to flow exceptionally well while providing great physicality. On the field this is a great product. Off the field could use some improvement. Concession lines were abysmally long. Unlike the final last year in DC, you were confined to drinking beer in one corner of the field where you couldn't see the game. Basically, a beer garden disconnected from the action. If you want to go to a bar go to bar. Fix these issues and it's a perfect sporting event.

Good games, site not so much.

by David N. on 6/27/22Homewood Field - Baltimore

The lacrosse was fun to watch. All teams very competitive and there was plenty of action. But Homewood Field leaves something to be desired. The field itself and the stands are fine. But parking is too far away and overpriced. The food selection was limited and overpriced with long lines.

    PLL Long Island Games

by Craig S on 6/20/22James M. Shuart Stadium - Hempstead

We were excited to see the lacrosse games. Finally a real professional lacrosse league. We came from Jersey, only 45 miles away. We left at 3:15pm and didn't arrive until almost 6:30pm. It is crazy to get to the island. Hopefully it will be somewhere else next year. Other then the travel time, the games were great. We had a great time and enjoyed every minute of the games. We also bought hats, shirts and stickers. Truly a great family event. We can't wait to go again, just not on Long Island.

    Good, Could be Better

by Washed Up Lax Bro on 6/20/22James M. Shuart Stadium - Hempstead

Overall, I had a good time attending the PLL games this past Friday at Hofstra. Here is what I liked: - The action; two great games, with some of the best players in the world on the field. It was truly a treat to see the game played at its highest level - The speed; I thought the pace of the game was fast, and I thought overall the night went quickly, given there were 2 games to get in a lot of time in between. - Lots of support; there were a lot of PLL team members across the event that were there and eager to help you if you had any questions. Here are some things I didnt like, or think could be better: Venue location; I love Hofstra, ive been going to lacrosse games here or almost 25 years, but being at venue that forces the event team to manage the crowd (e.g., tell kids to sit down, actively manage folks moving around the stadium, etc) is a bit painful to both see and listen to. Not to mention it takes away from the experience for all involved. Also, I would be remiss to say that the lack of alcohol is a problem. The PLL knows their audience - I appreciate the beer garden, but not being able to drink a beer while watching the game is pretty tilting - especially when the CEO and friends are visibility drinking wine on the sideline. What is the tone? This goes to the previous point a bit, but it seems like the atmosphere was torn between being really geared towards kids, while also trying to present itself as being for mature audience. Im not saying you cant do both, in fact I think you need to, but from the half time antics to the way the staff were managing the crowd, it was a bit conflicting. Beyond that, it was a great night. I would be a returning customer in the future, but hope that as the operations mature, some of the above is addressed.

My 10 year old son and I had a fabulous experience!

    by Soror1908 on 6/20/22James M. Shuart Stadium - Hempstead

The staff and PLL players were superb! Especially the PLL players. Each and every child were acknowledged with a warm smile, hand shake, autograph, and/ pictures. The constant smile on my son’s face was priceless.

    Good and not so good

by Waterdogs fan on 6/15/22American Legion Memorial Stadium - Charlotte

The PLL staff was beyond awesome and amazing. The thing that ruined the weekend for me was the gentleman that worked for the venue yelling at us to get out when there was a lacrosse player right there. We were just waiting for an autograph. He didnt have to yell at myself and the kids. Just because he was there since 7 am.

    Charlotte PLL

by Paige N on 6/14/22American Legion Memorial Stadium - Charlotte

We used to watch the Hounds play in Charlotte at the American Legion field. We were so disappointed when the Hounds were no more. So . . . we were ecstatic when I found that PLL was going to be in Charlotte!! My son has played since he was 9 and was one of the captains on his team this year and we have loved lacrosse since (9 years)!! He was in attendance with us and his friend (that he has played with for almost 9 years) came with us. We had so much fun and cannot wait for PLL to return to Charlotte!! Another plus - I ran into a friend that I haven’t seen since high school (30+ years) at the game!! It just shows lacrosse brings people together!!

    Awesome Experience

by Will H. on 6/14/22American Legion Memorial Stadium - Charlotte

As someone who has never seen Lacrosse live before, I was amazed at how fast paced the games were! 2 games in 5 hours felt like it took 20 minutes. So much fun! edge of your seat the entire time! Highly recommend any sports fan to go if they get a chance!

Welcome back professional lacrosse to Charlotte

by Charlotte54lax on 6/13/22American Legion Memorial Stadium - Charlotte

The seating upgrades to Memorial Stadium are on point. The lack of commentators and lack of team programs/rosters was lacking in major ways. It was great to have a sense of reminisce from the days of the Charlotte Hounds and excitement some of the former players were playing over the weekend. However, what commentating was at the event was poor to absent at best. Food trucks of old are long gone but concession stand far superior to bland food truck inside the stadium. On the flip side, it was great to be able to share a great evening with my son watching our favorite team sport.
