Preacher Lawson on Tour
Exuberant and hilarious, Preacher Lawson is the kind of performer whose energy cannot be contained by any stage, and that includes America's Got Talent. In 2017, television's most popular talent contest transformed Lawson into comedy's next superstar, introducing him to the wider audience he's deserved since he first began making fans in his hometowns of Memphis and Orlando.
Lawson's reputation is based on his smartly crafted material, unabashedly physical sense of humor, and flair for impressions (his high-spirited pastor character is vivid proof of that). He continues to make the same impact on audiences that he did on viewers and judges when he was a Top Ten finalist for America's Got Talent Season 12. He also finished fifth when he returned for America's Got Talent: The Champions in early 2019.

Even in the brief audition that was the first step toward his breakout on America's Got Talent, Preacher Lawson's comedy skills were readily apparent to TV's most famous judges. "Preacher, can I get just one more joke?" asked a new fan by the name of Simon Cowell, who also called him "unbelievably talented." Comedy legend Howie Mandel was quick to agree.
Lawson's TV breakout was a welcome achievement for a comedian who's been working hard to perfect his craft ever since he made his performance debut at the age of 17 at an open mic night at the University of Memphis in Tennessee. After establishing himself in Orlando's comedy scene, he won the Funniest Comedian in Florida in 2015 before earning top honors in the Seattle International Comedy Competition the following year.
Now based in Los Angeles, Lawson continues to tour nationwide while adding to a list of high-profile TV appearances that includes Last Call with Carson Daly, Inside Joke with Asif Ali, and Coming to the Stage, along with his star turns on America's Got Talent. Viewers also can see Lawson put his unique spin on travel, cooking, and more on his YouTube channel, which now has nearly 250,000 subscribers.
This was my first time seeing a live comedy show and it could not have been better! I have followed Preacher's career since he was first on America's Got Talent several years ago. He is hilarious and such a nice guy! He stayed after the show to sign shirts, take selfies and talk with the audience. I even got a hug from him! Just an all around nice guy and a hilarious comedian!
Preacher was awesome as usual. I was pretty much laughing non-stop. Definitely a great entertainer and knows how to work the audience to get the most laughs.

I’ve never watched a comedian interact with the crowd as much as Mr. Lawson. So unbelievably witty. It was nice to watch him control his words, it was very clean!
My Teenage son asked to go to the show. My husband and I were not familiar with who Preacher was but everyone so enjoyed his performance... So very funny!!! It’s rare to see a comedy show that’s appropriate for the family to enjoy together... Go see him and his brother if you get a chance ... Such talent!!!!

Having never been to the venue before, I wasn't sure what to expect, exactly. When picking my tickets, I was expecting a larger auditorium style venue, with at least stadium seating. I avoided the "back" sections for this reason. Instead, my wife and I found a large "ballroom with a stage" setting, with straight backed chairs, attached to the ones on either side, on a flat floor, and as tight as economy seating on an airplane, minus any armrests. Having a completely flat floor meant that having anyone taller sit in front of you, it could block your view. Preacher was funny, as expected, and his improv with things that happened in the audience was great. There were a few times that it felt like his new material was distracting him a bit, but not everything is going to be a hit. I loved the intimate feel of the show, with his willingness to take pictures and spend some time with his fans. His show was quite clean, and would have been "teen" friendly, whereas I can't say the same about the opening act for the night.

Preacher is even funnier in person than he is on tv! We did not want this show to end! Clean comedian and had us laughing the entire time! After the show was over, Preacher had another flight to get on, but he took the time to take pictures with everyone. Would definitely see him again!
The venue was very nice and Preacher Lawson was excellent...food was also very good. Our first time here and will go again.
First off I want to start off by saying the headliner act was amazing! It was so cool to be able to take a picture with him after the show. That was very nice of him to do that. The venue, however, left something to be desired. It was a very nice facility but they make you spend $15 each for a meal even if you don't want to. Then they give a suggested 20% tip as the first choice. I've never paid 20% for a tip unless it was the best server I ever had. We only see the server for like 10 minutes. Then where we sat was horrible! I understand they need to fill the room with tables and chairs but where we sat was right in front of the speakers, which were on the ground...not on the stage which might of been better to actual see the headliner. Then our backs were towards the stage so we had to move our chairs around to even be able to see the stage. It didn't help that there was a big guy in front of me so I really couldn't see around him. Then the real silly thing was the water. They charged you $3.99 for water..just because it had their name on it. Water!! If we would of known that we could of gotten a different kind of drink. All of these lessons we will learn for next time if we ever go back.
I loved the act! Preacher and Justin(his brother) were both hilarious! They a so very talented!
First of all the venue that it was held at was wonderful. Small and personal. The fish and chips was very crunchy and great. The opening act ( which was his brother was funny as hell). And Preacher I can’t say enough good about. Hilarious and clean. I would definitely recommend going to see him. It was a great night out with my wonderful man.
Preacher Lawson was really funny, but service and food was average and certainly not worth the price. Server failed to bring waters out twice and three times brought the wrong beer. Food seemed like it came from a cheap buffet. Happy to return to the venue for another event, but definitely not eat there again.

Funny, quick thinking and adlibs a lot of his comedy. He speaks from the heart and involves the first couple of rows in his show. Brother is opening act. Would highly remommend!!
The club staff was wondeful and so very warm and friendly. We would recommend the Jimmy Kimmel club to everyone
