Took grandson and his friend. Sat in behind the goal a few rows up. An usher said after the game starts the boys could move closer because that section never sells out. The boys got to sit in the front row! They yelled so much they had sore throats. Grandpa stayed where the original seats were so he could keep an eye on them. The game would have been good, but the offer of sitting closer made the game more memorable.
Was not really impressed by the veteran memorial coliseum as it definitely needs to be updated the seating more than anything needs to be updated it's very old there wasn't any rips or tears in the seats that I could see but it's definitely old seating I was very shocked as well as Portland winterhawks did not really have what I would call their own store It was more of just a stand setup behind some belt barriers. Was really shocked as well to not hear the fans really be into their team... I was there to support my team who was the visiting team but I was just extremely shocked by how quiet the arena was they didn't use their noise makers they weren't really loud they weren't really supportive of their team which is disappointing because Portland is a very good team
I'm not a huge hockey fan but don't dislike it either. My 10yo son had never been so I thought he would like it. He had loads of fun, even got a game used puck. Overall we had a good time.
Excellent game. Nice arena for hockey. Had row 2 seats in upper deck and they were extremely obstructed view for full price. Not cool. Should have been a warning when purchasing. Winter hawks crushed 4-1 though! 😊
The game was awesome. The Memorial Coliseum staff experience was not-so-great! My wife is disabled men have problems walking. It came out and told her her purse was a few inches too big to bring in and we had to walk it back to the car and get in back of the line Yet they let all these other people and with big bags I saw one got to go in with a grocery bag. So I don't think we'll be going to any games at the Coliseum anymore. Their staff sucks!
It was a fantastic game with the Winterhawks down buy two but coming back to tie it with two goals in the third period. Then they won it in overtime! Was a great night for the team and fans!
First hockey game attended for everyone in the party. 2 adults who hadn't been to one in 25+ years and a 9yr old player to his first. Going in with no idea what level was to be presented, the game was fantastic. Crowd was scarce though. Maybe a couple thousand fans it seemed. Hawks got 3 goals in a matter of 3 mins and that was the game. They continued to score and the level of skill displayed was fantastic. Highly entertaining event. Tickets seemed a bit pricey for the lower bowl when upper level is not really that much higher and half the price. Regardless, a great evening of fun and everyone enjoyed their time. Highly likely to attend a future game! Go Hawks!
We love these games! Easy to park, enter, and grab a seat. We really don't know why there are so many empty seats - this is great local entertainment and the team is awesome! After four goals you win a jumbo Jack burger, the kids' favorite part. Love having local craft brews in the arena not just major corporate ones. Highly recommend this experience!
My grandson took in everything and joined in the “Go Hawks; Win, Win, Win” chant and first pump. The seats were great with an expanded area be could walk around in and see the game; or simply stare at the fans. Winterhawks are a better value than most professional games including Blazers who were playing next door. Never is there a lack of effort. And they scored 4 first period goals. Hard hits with goals right in front of us.

My wife and I want to drive up for a game. The seats we want are in a row of three seats, however the app won’t allow us to buy only two of the seats. They want us to buy all three! I’ll never buy a ticket again!!! No wonder why there are thousands of tickets still available
I didn't realize bags weren't allowed at any events at moda center so unfortunately I had to pay 5 bucks to leave it at bag check. otherwise, it was super fun!
It was my time every going to a hockey game and had a great time with family.
I've been long time Winterhawks fan and it seems like the new management has done everything they can to make it feel like a completely different team. Small crowd due to it being in the Coliseum instead of the Rose Garden, got rid of, "let's play hockey" and "Enter Sandman" before the game. Entirely different logo, which is a whole nother debate. Trying to nickname the VMC, "The Nest" is basically just copying the Seahawks, "Hawks nest". We need to get our old identity and fan experience back. The players deserve better fan support as well.
The lines to pass bag check, provide vaccination/negative test info were extremely long and did delay our entry into the game and we didn't sit down until the 1st period was half over. However it didn't take nearly as long as expected when I first saw the line and the actual process was pretty easy. Of course we were required to wear masks which wasn't an issue for me but it was irritating to see two Portland police officers very close to the line and the entry to the building NOT wearing masks or putting them on when people came near them, but we are used to them acting like the rules dont apply to them here in Portland but all in all entry wasnt an issue. Once we got inside the hawks cheerleaders gave out free hawks towels and had genuinely positive energy and warming smiles. Those girls were awesome. The folks running the register at the hawks gear store were very friendly and polite. Despite being overwhelmed with customers they rang everyone up very promptly and did a great job over all in my opinion. Once We made it to our seats behind the penalty box we had an amazing time. Not only were we able to easily heckle and harass Seattle's players as they sat in the box we were also able to easily be seen by the refs when we flipped them off. The referees were absolutely insufferable and didn't seem to understand the game of hockey or simply had it in for our boys in red. They were the single worst experience we had that night. They should be fired or at least tarred and feathered. I wasn't aware of a mandate by the city that there was no smoking outside the stadium which isn't a huge deal but staff also curtly informed us we would not be allowed back into the stadium if we left to go off property for a smoke. It sucked. Over all the game rocked and overall the experience with the venue itself was decent. It was my girlfriends first time seeing the hawks and her first hockey game and she loved it. Thank you to the hawks, veterans memorial and ticketmaster for giving us an awesome night.
It was a fun and exciting game to watch. Great for a family outing. There are a lot of fans that get really into the game which makes it even more exciting to watch.
Best game ever!!!! Winterhawks did an amazing job. They broke the tie twice!!!
Hawks win. Everything went well without any issues from getting tickets to the game. Maybe more motivting music etc to get the crowd going.
Great fun great team we will be going again. Seating was amazing we got cheap seats and still felt like we were right on ghe ice wish the nets weren't there so we could still catch a puck
