Portland Trail Blazers History
The Trail Blazers joined the NBA in the 1970 expansion. Despite the presence of back-to-back rookies of the year Geoff Petrie and Sidney Wicks, they struggled, finishing last in their division five of their first six seasons. Then, in a remarkable reversal, they went 49-33 in the 1976–77 season, led by big men Bill Walton and Maurice Lucas, guards Lionel Hollins and Dave Twardzik, and head coach Jack Ramsay.
After defeating the Chicago Bulls, Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers in the first three rounds of the playoffs, they found themselves pitted against a powerhouse Philadelphia 76ers team led by Julius Erving, Caldwell Jones and George McGinnis in the NBA Finals. They dropped the first two games of the series but stormed back to win four straight to capture the franchise's only championship.
Title in hand, the Blazers would go on to make the playoffs 25 of the next 26 seasons. For 12 seasons starting in 1983, the catalyst was guard Clyde Drexler. In the 1989–90 season, with All-Star forward Buck Williams joining the team, the Blazers again made the NBA Finals, falling in five games to the Detroit Pistons. They posted a franchise-best 63-19 record the next season but succumbed to the Lakers in the Conference Finals. Another trip to the NBA Finals awaited in 1991–92, but the Blazers lost in six games to a Chicago Bulls team led by Michael Jordan.
The Blazers' forays into the playoffs continued through the 2002–03 season, with two of those trips, in 1998–99 and 1999–00, ending in losses in the conference finals. Beginning in the latter half of the 2000s, the team reached sustained regular season success behind notable talents like Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldridge, Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum. Roy and Lillard both received the Rookie of the Year award for their respective first seasons.

Fun to watch the Trail Blazers! Everyone is dialed in on the individual and team effort!
We had a great time and enjoyed everything about the game. We were confused as to why we didn’t get coupons at the door when we scored over 100 points? That’s one thing we didn’t understand. Other then that, we had a great time!
Hasn’t been many times that I’ve used Ticketmaster but it sure has been 2 great and amazing experiences that I will not regret going to! The game I just went to was so fun and amazing and to see it in person was an experience to never forget! I do recommend you go to a game at some point you won’t regret it
For last minute tickets the seats were great and the game was amazing.
The seat was ok. The food I had was edible. The teams played the entire game. The game ended when time expired. We got home safely
I’m nine months pregnant and needed an aisle seat. The seat map showed the seats we purchased were aisle, however, they were not. We were eight people deep and blocked in by a concrete wall.
Seating is old. Food is very expensive and the portion sizes are very small.
I have been going to NBA games here in Portland since I was a teen and I feel the one thing that the NBA is missing is the whole Fan Experience. One side of the arena gets to do the gameball and the rest of us watch, the dancers dance on the court Fun for the front row, Im honestly not even sure how to help it. It's just boring for the most part. You pay, you go, you sit and watch, you pay a ton for food and drinks, and then you leave. Not much fun in there....
We got scoot this year so I’m pretty sure we finna at least get to the playoffs n with dame leaving we still got some pretty good players.
it was an exciting game,my boys really had a blast watching the game
The game was the best time ever! I was super worried that they might sit some starters and I wouldn't get to see all the Warriors players, but that wasn't the case. All the Golden State Warriors were there and were ready to play. They played amazing and while I felt a little bad that we beat the Trailblazers so bad, it was a good game. It was a dream come true to see them that close and I wouldn't have changed anything about it.
The Blazers played to lose with a roster full of G League Players. That being the price the ticket charge should reflect G league Pricing.
Easy access to parking and getting in the game. Seats were amazing. Game was great for me. Don’t know why the Blazers didn’t have any starters in the game?
Back in November I bought highly coveted expensive, tickets to the Blazer game against the World Champion GSW for each of the male members of my immediate family to give as a Christmas present. The highly anticipated competitive, meaningful game was a joke as there were no star players available to play in the game. Golden State scored 55 points against the Fo- Blazer team in the first Quarter. What a waste of over $1200.00. I’ll never do that again!
It will be quite a while before I go to another Blazers game. Why spend hundreds of dollars for an organization that doesn't even try to put out a worthwhile product? Would you? There are many other alternative activities.
The game couldn't have gone any better for Warriors fans. The venue in Portland was decent. Clean, easy to find your way, etc. There were people sitting in our seats when we arrived, they moved over when I showed my tickets but clearly didn't have tickets for the seats next to us. The adult male choosing to sit next to us instead of the section he purchased decided to keep laying his arm on my 10yo child's soda, to the point he bent the straw because his arm was just laying on his entire cup. I decided to call him on it and pointed out I didn't appreciate he was touching my child's straw, he just kind of shrugged and moved his arm. Most of the game my child was asking me what to do cause this guy kept putting his arm in my child's space, it was so irritating. Wish the venue had a better way of monitoring this type of situation. At least we got to experience a record-breaking win - go Dubs!
We had a great time! The staff was accommodating, the facility was clean and the atmosphere was FUN!!!
I recently just attended my first Blazer game and it was a lot of fun. It was great to have so many food and beverage options at the venue as well as the pre-game and half-time entertainment was good. The only improvements I would suggest are that the Moda Center has a clearly defined pick-up and drop-off area for those who use Uber/Lyft or Taxi service. It is hard for the rideshare to find you, especially at night. Also, $5 for a small bottle of water is outrageous. Please be more reasonable with the prices of your basic beverages. It isn't alcohol it's a $0.99 cent bottle of water you are charging 5X the price of.
Went on double date to Blazers game. Pros were cost of tix. Entertainment quality. Cons were literally tix were as far as could be in our section. Not great souvenir options. Ordered hot dogs and they were nearly inedible. Worst I’ve ever had at a game. Hot dog stand mustard or ketchup from dispenser was sour. Parking was also 30 bucks! So not all great
I spent hundreds of dollars on tickets for me and 2 friends. It was a Christmas gift and a chance for 2 married guys to get a break. We had been talking about this game for months. Dame vs. LaVine! But obviously that didn't happen. I understand the business aspect of the NBA. I get shutting down your stars. But what was supposed to be a great weekend for 3 guys that rarely leave the house, turned out to be an embarrassing blowout. I would've never spent $ on watching your G League team. It's these types of situations which lead people like myself to just give up on going out. For the next 40 years of my life I'll be telling people about my Blazers experience. It's a shame it wasn't positive.
