Excellent performance. Audience was engaged throughout the entire evening. High quality presentation (orchestra included). Mozart's genius, not only as a composer but also as a playwright and yes, comic. Overall the opera was definitely a great experience.
The situations that these funny people could get in was very real to what happens in life today. Love and lust are a part of being human and always has a twist to make it most interesting.
Great sets, fantastic music. The first time I've been to the opera in a while. Can't wait to go back!
I wasn't wild about the staging or costuming of this production but the performers and orchestra were fabulous. The harpsichord added to the experience.

Great production by Portland Opera, Figaro's voice has great range, BRAVO, not to take away from the 2 lead ladies, WOW. Stage was set up very nice, orchestra was outstanding. Liberties taken on Mr Mozart's work worked very well and entertaining.
Always a favorite of mine, the Portland Opera's "The Marriage of Figaro" was outstanding! All the principal singers were wonderful and the entire production couldn't have been more fun. I laughed and cried and left the theater extremely happy. The best production from Portland Opera so far!
Excellent seats and a very fine Opera. The part of the countess was sung beautifully.
This was my first 'in person' Opera. The stage/scenes were beautiful. The singers were younger that I'd expected, but appropriate to the story. The costumes were great, and the story line was easy to follow for a novice.
BUT it was too long. I started getting tired in the second half and was exhausted by the end.

I really enjoyed the production of the Marriage of Figaro I attended on Sunday past. Everything about it was great...the performers were excellent, the production was very amusing and the Orchestra was superb. If you are a fan of Mozart and/or opera don't miss this one!
Was one of the best performances I have ever seen.
Singers were each in good voice and the Opera was well done. I was disappointed that the set, props and costumes were not more opulent.

The Marriage of Figaro became an awesome show. Great performances all around. Please go if you can.
The set was stunning and versatile. Humor satire and beautiful voices! What more could you ask for "Marriage". The Countess was remarkable in her arias with a beautiful tone and phrasing. The Count may lack in moral value but had a glorious voice. Figaro and Susanna had a great interplay of words and with outstanding voices. The comic roles were well played. An enjoyable evening.
Staging and costuming was great; some vocals, while well executed, were not loud enough; overall, a fun and enjoyable performance. This was the first opera for my companion, and he thoroughly enjoyed it! We'll be back!
